| 1. The Twilight Saga: New Moon (Two-Disc Special Edition) |
|
Starring: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Directed By: Chris Weitz March 20, 2010
Although I think that the books were very simplistic and filled with teenage drama I thought that they were entertaining enough to actually read the complete series. In "New Moon" the characters are already established and the book takes us into new territory and a three-way love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob. We find out that Jacob was carrying a ressesive gene that was activated soon... more

| 2. The Blind Side |
|
Starring: Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, Kathy Bates, Quinton Aaron, Lily Collins Directed By: John Lee Hancock March 23, 2010
I saw this movie at the theater & have been waiting for it to come out on DVD so I could buy it. Not since The Bucket List & Second Hand Lions have I enjoyed a movie this much. In my opinion it was Sandra Bullock at her best alongside all of the other very talented actors in this movie. As much as I love football, the morals & the storyline were what made me enjoy this movie so much. This... more

But truly the visuals make up for it in this movie. And the cast is great, they do their best with what they have to work with. The plot could have been better but the visuals and effects are worth seeing this for!... more

you'll read from much better writers than myself state why you ought or ought not to consider this film for a rental and/or ownership . i was not always taken with George's films . i disliked the smirking , we're to sexy for these pictures (the Oceans films) beyond the 1st which i rather liked . additionally i'm not really smitten with political films . gradually Mr. Clooney began to win me over for... more

|
Starring: Bruno Campos, Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, Jenifer Lewis, Jim Cummings March 16, 2010
This is absolutely an enjoyable movie and I highly recommend it. Loved everything about it. The first time in a quite some time that Disney has produced a movie equivalent to Beauty and the Beast, etc. There is the good vs. bad and the good guys win as is Disney's theme in their great animated movies. My grandaughter and I have seen it twice and are eagerly awaiting the DVD. Thanks Disney!!!... more

| 10. Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire |
|
Starring: Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'Nique Directed By: Lee Daniels March 09, 2010
"Precious" is not a pretty story, but as Mo'nique said in her Oscar delivery speech, this could happen to anyone of any race. It is most definitely a story that needs to be told; many disadvantaged people have a tough time. Ignorance and abuse, both physical and mental, are well-examined (as well as the overt welfare abuse that is bringing our country down). The magnificent Gabourey Sidibe has dreams... more
