Mostly Instrumentals My bad...should have looked at the play list, now I'm stuck with it -No AC/DC back in Black, and NO Ozzy. If you like the same instrumental song over and over and over again -just slightly different then have at it. I'm not saying its a "bad" instrumental just not what I wanted.
Speechless! Very disappointed with the cd, I bought it with the hopes that the songs from the previews and in the movie would be there. NO, appears to be instrumental, which is ok if you are into that. But I like to crank up the radio and sing outloud...its hard to do with no words!
Missing the best song:( Sorry but this album is missing the best song from the movie, Ozzy Osbourne's version of Iron Man...
A Hardcore Soundtrack for a New Hardcore Superhero The new Marvel film, "Iron Man" brings an action packed 21st Century twist to a classic comic book character. The film's plot is centered around a very familiar genre of a man taking to the air and battling the forces of evil. Combined with exhillarating flying sequences, gun fights and explosions along with a small touch of humor and charming romance. With all the makings of a great popcorn movie, with futuristic technology and combat weaponry, Iron Man soars to become "The Rocketeer" for the next generation. Oscar winner Robert Downey Jr. plays a very likable innovator with occasional flaws, with a cocky personality and off the wall relationships and Jeff Bridges of course, plays a very smart but canyving business associate/villian. Although, it does take some getting used to seeing such a famoous actor without hair, litterally. After seeing the movie and hearing the fun music that comes with it, as you might have guessed I had to go get the soundtrack. The film's composer brings together a unique combination of rock and roll, high flying rthymn for the fast paced aerial dogfight and battle sequences; and also there's a small snippet of retro 1950's band style music for the lavish party scene for the firefighters benefit gayla. Though not as much of an engaging thrill ride or awesome soundtrack score as last summer's "Transfomers", Iron Man blasts off into the heavens with an original and well composed score that is worth looking into when you're in the mood for something new from a soundtrack CD.
If you liked the movie then you will like this music My family liked the movie and we like to buy soundtracks so this one was one we definitely wanted. It is mostly instrumental but has an edgy rock feel to it. It is a good one for our collection.
