Product Description: Last seen under the gleeful guise of 2007's Grinderman, a no-nonsense rock 'n' roll excuse to head down to the basement and shout, now Nick Cave returns to his full time Bad Seeds co-conspirators for this LP + 7-inch release. "Grinderman was deliberately spare and the concepts were pretty simple," explains Cave. "With 'Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!' we allowed ourselves to get expansive." It picks up where Grinderman left off, filled with Stoogified electric guitar, driving beats, and Cave's literate, seductive, and firmly tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
Collector item Guess i can call this booklet with a mini-cd a collectors item. IF im right about it Mr Cave made this item just too get more cash out of his latest album. The music itself have to wait until i got my hands into the DIG CD witch will be bought eventually (when price gets lower:) . So long from Norway :)
Misleading Description The description shows 11 track listings. these are the songs on the other cd item. bogus tomatoes! but cool non the less. Oh, and since it's a "mini-cd" it won't play in slot loading cd players.
Actually 3 stars, but... ...just wanted to balance out the 1-star review. :) This is a cute little book, with some nice insights into the creative processes of the three artists in question (Cave, Sue Webster, and Tim Noble), including an amusing (and risque) confession from Cave about doodling...
Please note that, yes, it's true: the 3-inch CD contains only the title track. It is, however, a different mix -- somewhat edgier -- than that found on the full CD (same vocal track though). Obviously this offering is intended only for the die-hard fan, but it's a pretty safe bet that that fan will, indeed, Dig it!!!
Does not contain full CD The Amazon description seems off for this. It does not contain the full-length CD, but appears to contain just a cd single.
