Finally 7 Godzilla movies in undubbed glory! Like many people I loved Godzilla as a child but I have been away from these films for a while. I was intrigued that these films were not only remastered but also avalable in the original Japanese, with subtitles, for the first time as well as dubbed. I absolutely loved hearing the films in Japanese as it lent to these fanciful films a sense of authenticity. These films are just as fun now as when I saw them as a child with Godzilla's Tokyo-stomping an added thrill in widescreen. Also seeing them as an adult brought additional advantages. With the remastered sound I was able to appreciate the musical skills of Akira Ifukube. Also I appreciated the grace and beauty of the Japanese actresses who were pivotal characters in the films, particularly in the original "Gojira" and "Terror of Mechagodzilla".
Gift for Hubby This was a Christmas gift for my hubby. He has been a Godzilla fan since childhood. He is planning a trip to Japan and I thought it would be a fun gift. So far, he has watched 4 or 5 of the movies. Some he has never seen. A good first set! The box for the set is nice too.

Each Movie Comes With Two Versions Of The Film, Japanese and US, I Do Not Recommend The US Versions Because They Are Far To Corny.... However! As A Set This Is Second Only To The 50th Anniversary Final Godzilla Collection That Came With Every Godzilla Ever Made AND A Large Bust Of Godzilla's Head.

Definitive Box Set This box set contains the recently released Classic Media editions of some of the original Showa Godzilla films. They all come with wonderful extras, including the both Japanese and American versions. This is a must-have for any Godzilla or classic movie monster fan. Five Stars!
