Great examples for babies My son (3 months old) loves this dvd. i put it on for him if i have to get something done around the house because he gets sucked right in as soon as the music starts to play. i watched it the first couple of times with him so i would know what the signs were that he was learning and i was very impressed with how interactive they made it. the teacher sings the whole time as she teaches and then they show several examples of babies and toddlers doing each sign so your child can really get the hang of what its supposed to look like. my son can already do the signs for milk and drink :)
Granddaughters can sign My granddaughters learn to sign before they can talk. A toddler who can tell you when they are hungry or thirsty is a lot happier than a child who can only scream.
Just a sing along I purchased this product because it was so highly rated. I was hoping it would be instuctional for me, in terms of introducing and effective implementation of signs. It's just a sing along. So if you are looking for a simple children's show demonstrating about 20 words, your typical repetitions and simple songs, it's o.k. However, if I were to do this over I would just look up the signs from an online website and demonstrated them to my child myself, saving the extra bucks.
Easy to learn I ordered volume 1 and 2, but we are still just watching volume 1. My 10 month old son really seems to enjoy the video and it is easy for me to pick up the signs as well to do when we are together. He has yet to sign anything back to me, but I like the first video for all the signs regarding eating and drinking. Volume 2 seems a little more advanced with shoes, socks, etc.
This is so entertaining for my 4 month old! My 4 month old son enjoys this more than the einsteen videos. The songs are cute, the children are cute and I am hoping to be able to sign with him when he is 9 months old. He is already responding to the sign for MILK. :-)
