One day while Shinichi and Ran are at an amusement park the pair become separated. Shinichi catches wind of a dirty deal going down and spies on a pair of men in dark trenchcoats. He's caught and the men use an experimental poison on him intending to kill him. However things don't work exactly as planned. When Shinichi comes to he finds he's shrunken down to the size of a fourth grader. He goes to the goofball inventor that lives next door to him for help and the inventor agrees to give him a hand. When Ran comes looking for Shinichi he and the inventor come up with a story saying that Shinichi is a child named Conan Edogawa (Conan as in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle). Ran offers to let "Conan" live with her family while his "family" is away. Shinichi then makes it his mission to one day find the men who poisoned him and get the antidote. Amazon.com: The Time Bombed Skyscraper (1997) was the first of 10 features based on the long-running series Case Closed. The basic premise remains the same: Jimmy Kudo was a famous detective at 17, but thugs gave him a mysterious pill that somehow turned him into a little boy. He changed his name to Conan Edogawa (from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Japanese mystery writer Ranpo Edogawa) and found a home with his former girlfriend Rachel Moore and her half-witted detective father. Time Bombed Skyscraper pits Conan against a serial arsonist and a bomber who threatens to destroy several buildings and a train line in Tokyo. Are there links between the criminals that would escape the eyes of a less extraordinary detective? Handicapped by his pint-sized body, Conan has to pursue the case as best he can, often using Detective Moore and others as stand-ins. The filmmakers stick very close to the TV program and anyone who enjoys the series will enjoy this feature, and vice versa. (Rated TV PG, suitable for ages 10 and older: minor violence and tobacco use)--Charles Solomon
The Time Bombed Skyscraper for anyone who likes case closed or like mystery and anime i greatly recommend this movie. the time bombed Skyscraper is a thiller mystery that will keep u guess what will happen next. another great deal is that you really dont need to follow the anime to understand the story. the movie is self explanitory. if you want to see a mystery movie thats thilling, funny, and action packed watch The Time Bombed Skyscraper.
Good movie Bought it as a gift for one of my brothers who love Case Closed. He loves it. It's basically like a long episode; the story plot was interesting. I enjoyed watching it with him.
Worst I have every seen!!! First thing: there is only Japanese or English language. Instead of "Language: Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Tagalog"
The quality is very very very very.... bad!!!
The Anime is very good. But because of the bad quality this is a worse product I have ever seen.
Classic Case Closed, only longer :D Jimmy (Shinichi) Kudo has solved many cases, and faced many dangers in the process. This time he (as Conan Endogawa) deals with a maniacal madman who goes around setting fire to, and blowing up great architectural works. This movie has all the qualities that a Case Closed fan will want as Conan pokes fun at Richard, tries to get out of a date with Rachel, and solve this case without anyone knowing his true identity.
If you are new to the Case Closed series you won't be confused if you watch this movie before watching the series since a brief back story is given as to how Jimmy became little Conan. I would personally give this a rating of TV14 for mild violence, blood, suggestions of alcohol use, smoking, and buildings being blown up.
"One Truth Prevails"
Time Bombed Rocks I used to watch Case Closed, but I never saw Case Closed like this before. A madman has threaten the city with bombs and it is up to Conan to figure out his plan before it is too late. This movie just follows the series just great. I would like to see more Case Closed movies and more of the series. If you haven't seen this movie. Watch It!
