5 out of 5 starsGreat game!
This game is the best wrestling game that I have played in a long time! Works great and I will buy from this seller again.

4 out of 5 starsAn improved game overall
This game provides general improvements over the original Day of Reckoning, updated wrestlers and improved graphics. The stamina feature is an overdue touch of "realism". Good work overall.

4 out of 5 starsThe ups and downs
Okay the ups are there are good characters and good moves. Some more are the good create an entrance. The downs are there are no voice overs bad season and not enough legends. It took me like 1 year to complete game. If you want the best wretling game buy svr 2006

3 out of 5 starsSame old same old
I rented this game and was highly disapointed with it i who have played/owned almost all the WWE/WWF games for all systems thought this game wasnt good. First of all it is almost exactly the same as DOR1 witch i dont like. The problem with these games is that in season mode u have to create a superstar witch restricts u from sertain moves .Since Season mode is horrible this game is mainly a Multiplayer game .But mutliplayer mode isnt good either there are no 5or6 player matches just cause there is only 4 controller slots on gamecube. Also they added stamina on to this game witch was to make it more realistic witch is good the problem is it takes for ever to restore.

This game is only good if u have a party and u want to play a multiplayer game but in some ways DOR1 is better. So i dont reckemend this get Smackdown vs Raw 2006 or the first verson instead u will be so much happyer

2 out of 5 starsDisappointing sequel to a perfectly awesome game
Day of Reckoning 2 when I read up on the previews and such, seemed to have nothing much new going for it save for a totally new graphics system which was supposed to make the wrestlers look more "realistic" along with the usual updated roster.

Unfortunately, that's pretty much all it has going for it.

Aside from the basic new stuff (better background music without the damn rap music, new moves, new roster), the graphics system DOES look a LITTLE better from Day of Reckoning, however, at the expense of totally screwing up the Create a Superstar option!

Due to the new graphics flesh system, the create a superstar option is much more tricky and complex to deal with, and in most all cases (with my characters) they come out looking like monkeys or pig-faces. Their skin is always blotchy and discolored like when you spill milk on a white fabric and let it dry for a week or so. The faces are virtually impossible to work into a passable human mold, and the presets all look like hideous inhuman creatures with comically oversized or undersized features (all the females have tiny squinty eyes and fat lips, all the males have gorilla noses and square heads)

So they have totally messed up the CAS system, as well as another horrible new addition: making it impossible to re-edit attributes once you've already set them (so if you give your char 10 speed and 5 counter, realize your mistake and try to fix it, you CAN'T)

Also, the AI is much much worse from the first one. It seems to have been unnecessarily dumbed down in order to make it harder for the player, perhaps. Well they succeeded, in the most ass way possible. The AI is ALWAYS out to get YOU. They don't particularly care about each other in 3ways or 4ways or Royal Rumbles. If you so much as look in their direction, they will LITERALLY turn on you and attack you nonstop until they're attacked by someone else. They also don't see any need to put on an actual match, choosing instead to try and counter all your moves, then use the resulting energy to perform their specials on you and end the match, as opposed to the original Day of Reckoning AI which sought to try and beat you up, rather than reverse all your moves.

One thing else small but noticable. While the ring appearance and movement is slightly smoother than in the original (due mostly to the new graphics system), they've done away with the screen rattling and flashing in the original (such as the white flash when someone reverses something, or that bone-shattering crash when you perform a special on someone and K.O. them), so it is much more stable than the original. This is not a pro or a con, as the shaking may have annoyed some people, or have entertained some (I liked it, though, as it added a more thunderous quality to certain moves and bumps)

All in all, a disappointment, and not worth spending full price on. It's pretty much exactly what the title says: Day of Reckoning 2. No subtitle, nothing particularly brand new.
