Description: The tough guys at Cromartie High are at it again. But when idiot delinquents, a robot with an identity crisis, a snorting gorilla, a rockstar poser, and aliens are the alumni, what would you expect? Don’t miss the third volume of the wildly popular, critically acclaimed A+ animated comedy of the year!
vrroom vrroomm says Mechazawa! The intro. to this DVD is not as exciting as the last two as it's a bland black on white screen with a robot like voice asking you to play an episode basically. We are introduced to a Japanese Champion competition and the word "Gachooon." We also learn more about Hayashida than meets the eye. Pootan and Gerotan appear again and get into an argument, and Freddie is back too as another actor and an economist! Mechazawa's "motorcycle" comes back again. We hear a new Cromartie ending theme. There's something on meat in one of the episodes in which they may elaborate more on as side episodes in the future since this series has been doing fairly well. Hokuto gets embarrassed as usual, we meet a smiling grandpa like figure in the sky, and I think he was introduced in the 2nd disc. A funny dream with a seal occurs.
Shinjiro Hayashida's purple mohawk is more noticeable as it tends to sway as he reacts to certain situations. We are introduced to Manuel High School, which is too similar to the Bass High School rivalry, but still very funny nonetheless. We learn "more" about Hokuto's lackey's name and why Hokuto doesn't have any friends besides Hokuto's lackey. Aliens reintroduce themselves again. The humor does tend to be separated into their own episodes, and things don't necessarily relate as much as the first two seem to flow together better, or even just seemed super funny. Overall, not as funny as the first two DVDs, but for Cromartie fans alike, the laughing doesn't stop. It's tough to keep creating as good as the first two, and this effort is not so bad at all!
Cromartie High School is Awesome! ( a review by CYD) Man this DVD is so hilarious. This is one of my favorite series out there. Between a guy with a mohawk that changes with his mood, a fighter with extreme motion sickness, and a silent Freddy Mercury running around, I am always laughing. This DVD is sooooo worth it. Peace out.
