Why have we waited so long to see these movies!!! My boys cannot get enough of these movies. We love the series and can't believe it has taken us this long to finally sit down and watch them.
I Love The Rings!!! I was sick one day and had to stay home. I saw bits and pieces of the trilogy. That was not enough. I ordered the entire collection and have seen them in them completely. I LOVE THESE MOVIES!!! You can catagorize them any way you'd like, it doesn't matter. These are the greatest. The effects, music, everything. I would recommend these to anyone.

The Lord Of The Rings - The Motion Picture Trilogy By now, most everyone has seen this set of movies, most probably in a theater. Having the set of DVD's at home gives you the chance to enjoy at your leisure. Leisure is important since several of the movies run into the 3-hr duration. A bit convoluted at times with flashbacks and such, especially if you had read the books prior to watching; but for the most part stays pretty close to the Tolkien story line. Great costuming and effects. Breathtaking scenery (New Zealand, I believe) which they use to great advantage. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.
