5 out of 5 starsVery enjoyable.
What is there really to say? This game takes the original Fable, extends the story, adds some new items, characters, and just general fun to the mix. It's definitely worth the price tag. The only(minor) problem I have found, is a few situations in which it locked up, but if you're saving often(as well you should in any type of rpg, or game period really) then that won't be too much of a setback. Fun game, battle system is pretty spot on, the camera can be a bit wonky at times with where it goes to during fights, otherwise good stuff.

4 out of 5 starsExcellent game, shoddy presentation
I first played Fable on the PC, not wanting any other X-Box game nor being able to afford a 360. I really enjoyed the PC version, but the mouse / keyboard combo was hard to get used to and master so when I finally got a 360 and Fable 2 (a vastly inferior game) I decided for under $10.00 to get this for XBOX, but, alas, it's not what I exepected.

For one, the box claimes it's HDTV 480p, this, is a lie. Halo 2 is 480p for HDTV and it's stunning and 16:9 widescreen, just a beautitful presentation. This is 4:3 and the definition is definately 480i. The picture on my 42" Sony is less than sharp and it's not the TV, the 480p 16:9 games for PS2 & Wii look great. I have the 360 through HDMI for optimum picture too. Also, it says DD, but I only get 2.1 not surround, though I can force DD 5.1 and get a surround-like sound.

I really had hopes that this would look as good as Halo 2 since this is the third release of the game and it says "HDTV 480p" on the back, but it's not.

Shame, the PC version is stunning, vibrant, crystal clear. I put it on the same TV through my computer's DVI output and it looks great, but really, the X-Box (or 360) should be the best way to veiw / hear this game, and it's not. The really dropped the ball.

Regardless, this game is 10x better than Fable 2. It's definately a must have for the Zelda action-RPG crowd. But, if you can, go for the PC version, it's vastly superior.

1 out of 5 starsVery Disappointed
I attempted to purchase "Fable: The Lost Chapters" but was sent the wrong video game. I tried to contact the seller, but never received any response. I now notice that this seller is no longer available for purchase of the above mentioned video game. I will be more cautious in the future purchasing anything from third party sellers on Amazon.

4 out of 5 starsFable: the lost chapters
My boys, ages 16 & 12, asked me to buy this for them. They love the game and play it as often as they're allowed. It is exciting, fun and has a lot of scope to keep them entertained. I (as a parent) would not recommend this game for anyone under 12. Some of the content is rather mature.

5 out of 5 starsTop notch entertainment
I borrowed and beat the original when it came out and sort of forgot about it for awhile. I stumbled upon a copy of The Lost Chapters for $10 and almost didn't get it. I'm definitely glad I did. The extra main quest doesn't take long, but it's very fun and makes this a more complete game. And having extra side-quests and towns to go to makes it totally worth playing.

For those that can't handle the massive open-ended Morrowind or Oblivion, but still want an adventure RPG in a similar style, this game is for you. The graphics are excellent, even though a little cartoonish, but I think their very unique. The music is quite good and the gameplay is fun and challenging. The story is basically your character's life. When he's a boy until an old man, or until the end of the main quest. It's not incredibly interesting with Jack of Blades, who is a bit underdeveloped and very mysterious, and your sister, and mother, but it's decent enough.

We all know the story isn't the main thing here though, it's your character. Your actions and your looks are the big thing with Fable. You get to customize your character throughout the game. Haircuts, tattoos, clothing, you name it. And when you drink too much beer, you get a big gut, and when you kill everyone and steal, you grow horns and are surrounded by flies, and your eyes turn red. When you are good, you have a halo and butterflies surround you, and you have bright blond hair. Even if you are hit a lot, you develop scars. This is a very detailed and open game, and while not as open as others, it's a unique experience and has something to offer to everybody.
