Editorial Review: Mexican Train is a wonderful all-ages game of skill and strategy for two to eight players. Trains of dominoes spread over the table as each player attempts to avoid being railroaded. The object of the game is to be the first player to play all of his dominos or to play a domino on the Mexican train. Add to your own train, start a new one on the central hub, or play on an opponent's "stalled" train. However, it's almost worth losing this game of Mexican Train just to press the electronic train hub and hear it whistle like a real locomotive! Includes nine train games pieces, decent instructions, and 91 pro-size double-twelve color-dot dominoes--all stored in a convenient train-shaped metal tin. --Deb Oroszlan
Fun with Dominoes Game arrived on time and in good condition. What fun this game is for both adults and children. It can get pretty competitive!
Hours of fun This is the fourth set that I have purchased. We played it for the first time at a friends and bought our own; when people come and play they enjoy it so much we purchase one for them and have it shipped.
Hours of fun for your ENTIRE family and friends! I bought this game for my 10-1/2 year old son. We always play when we visit my parents and I finally got one for our house. We've taken it over to friends for game night and they've loved it.
I have to admit the colors on the dominoes (especially the browns) are very similar and difficult to tell apart so you have to pay extra attention to what you and other players are putting down. But the game is so much fun that it's easy to lose track of time. You will spend HOURS playing this game. The best part for the children is pressing the roundhouse when they win -- it really does make realistic train sounds.
Fun game--station makes dominoes a game for young ones too This game takes Train dominoes to a more fun level for kids. Even my young child has become interested in the dominoes because of the brightly colored train set. The pieces are small, so be careful around babies, but overall a fun product. The price is reasonable enough to have two sets--one the kids play with (dominoes inevitably missing, etc) and the other is reserved for the adults!
Hours of FUN As one member of a little foursome that gets together once a week for a relaxing evening of games, we have spent many enjoyable hours of fun with Mexican Train. If you are one who likes a good strategy game, then this is the one for you. But be careful, the strategy can change at the placement of a die. A game that will definately keep you on your toes and keep the cranium from getting rusty.
