Based on a true story. Hello all! I hope my review helps. This is a true story, which happened in my hometown of Humboldt, TN. The character "Emma" is actually still alive. It's interesting to see how the whole town (if I may be so liberal to call it such)..still "shuns" her. I could hardly believe something like this happened in my home. My mom shared the story with me when I was 17, but I didn't get to see the movie until some years later. Oddly enough...things of this nature are still occuring in big cities and small towns.
