a missed opportunity sammy davis Jr. offered one of the screen's most riviting performces for the 1960's. Mr. Davis' acting is multi-dimensional and certainly worthy of an oscar nomination--which he didn't get. at the time of the film's original release--on screen love scenes between a black man & woman were taboo. because the film also dealt with the corrupt music business at the time--it also earned the animous of the critics. american arts and letters missed an opportunity in not giving credit where credit was due.
Sammy Davis Jr. Rules!!Re-release This Video!! The late Sammy Davis Jr. rules in this musical drama that includes a star-studded cast along with Louis Armstrong and Mel Torme.It's a must see,so please re-release this movie on vhs/dvd so that humble people such as myself can afford it!!
