Product Description: The cooking instructions for each recipe of this book are divided into two distinct roles: one for the mother and one for the daughter. In this unique, team-approach to cooking, each person knows exactly what to do and when, eliminating stress and making cooking time pure bonding time. Included in the book are recipes for birthday desserts, holiday treats, and party snacks, as well as a tribute to different foods from around the country, and a fancy lunch menu. The last chapter is a guide to creating a recipe scrapbook, so readers can document what they learn, like, and experience in their kitchen for future reference and memories.
cooking As a seventeen year old looking back on her past, I recall never baking with my mother. I would always sit at the kitchen table playing with my barbie dolls, while my mother added the chocolate chips to the cookie batter. I never got to help with cooking because my mom didnt know what I could handle or not, so she thought it was easier if she made it and I ate it..ate it all. I wish my mom had this book back then so she could see it's not hard to incorporate a child into cooking, and with this book it's really easy too. I could have added the chocolate chip cookies myself!
