I resold this I love creating eyeshadow looks but this book is horrible, all of the looks seem like they were blindly done with a fingertip. That cover eyeshadow look is decent compared to whats in this book.
It's Ok.. The book was O.K., But the looks are nothing like extraordinary or glam. The pictures don't inspire me at all. I mean the girls in the book need some upper lip wax. I know the author wanted to make the book realistic and barely retouched, but a little wax won't hurt anything.
I Would Not Refer This book was ok, my Mom sent to me as a gift, it had a lot of eye looks but me being a certified trained makeup artist from the Makeup Designory, I would never do any of these looks and they did not look polished and some of them they looked like clowns, I think you can have a wild avant garde look that is polished, so I would not suggest this book to anyone, but we all have are own style and she has been in the business a long time and some of the looks may be attractive to certain people. Not what I expected I was looking for a book to enhance my creativity with makeup thats when I came across this book "Eye Candy." When I seen the cover I thought to myself well if the cover is that pretty I wonder whats on the inside? Natural courosity so I bought the book. I waited and waited finally I got recieved it in the mail and it seems to be for teenagers. All the models look to be under the age of 18 and overall disapointing, almost seems as though they went into their mothers makeup and painted their little faces as quickly as possible before they were caught. Im not sure what the intial intention was with the book or how it was came up to use "young models" but Im out of my teens and wanted something for ideas for myself not my niece. Long story short I am disapointed with my purchase, so please consider who is going to be the client before you purchase this book.
excellent for glam looks excellent for glam looks. I would agree with other reviews in that the looks are not for everyday and geared more to the younger woman. It does however give a basic overview.
