Vanity Fair: The Portraits brings together 300 iconic portraits from Vanity Fair’s 95-year history in a remarkable book that captures the image of modern fame—the magical thing that happens when individual talent and beauty (and sometimes genius) is caught in the spotlight of popular curiosity and passion. The photographers—from Edward Steichen and Cecil Beaton to Annie Leibovitz and Mario Testino—are a glittering and celebrated group themselves. Their portraits have become the iconic likenesses of the best-known figures from the worlds of art, film, music, sports, business, and politics.

lovely I found this book to be inspiring and historically interesting. How the author arranged the images next to each other was interesting to me, old vs newer etc. As a professional photographer, I love to look at photography and have found hours of entertainment within this book.
VANITY FAIR PORTRAITS The best coffee table book we have ever had. Most every visitor loves to look at the pictures. It's Wonderful!
Worth the Price I went to the "Vanity Fair: The Portraits" exhibit at LACMA and I was a tad disappointed. But this book brought back the highlights of that day, plus so many more photographs that I am schocked the exhibit left out. Definitely worth the price, expecially since at the LACMA store it's $65!
Vanity Fair:The Portraits: A Century of Iconic Images This is a increadable collection of portraits taken by Vanity Fair photographers over the past 100 years. The photos are all done very well and in many cases, put a face to the famous that we have only heard about from the early 1900's. The book's coverage of the many different personalities of the 20th century is really something. It is a very fun book to go through and see the many diverse individuals.
Great coffee table book The Portraits book is good on many levels. Many of the photos are of people from the past that are not the "stars" of their day but of varying occupations and fame. Great photos of so many folks. Many of them iconic and long-lasting. Just a good book to sit and read to get a sense of history and the times.
