Editorial Comments

Amazon.com:
This straight-to-video animated story is set in the Beast's castle which, as viewers know from the original Beauty and the Beast film, is under a spell until the Beast can learn to love. Starting with this familiar premise, Belle's Magical World plummets into three disjointed episodes surrounding Belle's life as a captive in the castle. In "The Perfect World," a misunderstanding of words erupts between Belle and Beast, made worse by a feigned apology. Fifi and Lumiere take the spotlight in "Fifi's Folly," when a romantic evening together becomes a chilling adventure inside a runaway sleigh. In "The Broken Wing," Belle entreats the Beast to act kindly toward a tiny songbird. Each tale offers a diluted moral message, yet the entire effort feels contrived and confusing, a ploy by the folks at Disney to add cash to their coffers by exploiting the popularity of the original motion picture classic. 5 out of 5 starslove it
I just love this movie. I can watch it over and over again. So when my grand kids come over I have no problems with them wanting to watch it.

5 out of 5 starsbeauty nand the beast
my three year old daughter loves anything to do with Belle so she really enjoyed the movie

5 out of 5 starsGood dvd
The dvd is not available at stores. Great to find it on line for my niece

4 out of 5 starsGood for little kids
Please keep in mind that this isn't a DVD for adults who enjoyed the original "Beauty and the Beast" on an adult level. It's made for kids and it works for kids - especially little girls who can't get enough of Belle.

A few other reviewers have commented that the Beast was too scary in the last cartoon, where he keeps a little bird in a cage. Personally, we didn't think the Beast was scary. In fact, he acted a lot like a little kid having a temper tantrum, and our daughter thought he was funny. But, a word of caution: after the Beast finally set the bird free, our two-year-old decided to emancipate our pet bird, and became upset when she couldn't. So pet-owning parents should be prepared to have a long talk after viewing.

On the whole, our daughter finds "Belle's Magical World" entertaining and, while it's not our favorite thing to watch, it was worth the price.

1 out of 5 starshorrible
Not what I expected at all a waste of money belle wears same dress in all episodes it is a total waste of money.
