Product Description: Superstar Jeph Loeb (Batman: Hush) is joined by future superstar Simone Bianchi for the biggest, best and, quite possibly, last battle between Wolverine and Sabretooth! These sworn foes have been locked in an endless grudge match that goes back longer than either can remember - or even imagine. The key to victory is eons old, and it's certain to rock their world. Think you've seen Marvel's fiercest go toe-to-toe before? Those were just warm-ups. Collects Wolverine #50-55.
Disappointment City Despite the presence of Jeph Loeb this is a really sub-par Wolverine story. If you are a fan of Loeb's other comics and not a Wolverine fan you will be seriously disappointed. The story here just lacks the punch found in Loeb's great run on Batman. The artwork is great but not good enough to make this story something you'll want in your collection.
All-Around Awesome Jeph Loeb Is definately one of my favorite comic writers ever, and he certainly does not dissappoint in "Wolverine: Evolution", Loeb gets the charecter of Wolverine down and tells a classic Sabretooth VS. Wolverine story. This is definately not a warm, heart filled story like "Superman For All Seasons", but it is probably the best Wolverine story since "Enemy Of The State". Ever since I saw Simone Bianchi's art on the covers of "Detective Comics", I was blown away that a talented water painting artist had found his way into the comic industry. This is some of Bianchi's ealy work, but I won't be surprised when I start to hear his name as one of the greatest artists in the comic industry. Simply put, Simone Bianchi is this decades "Jim Lee." Great Writer, great Artist, Awesome Charecter. 'Nuff Said.
Bloody Awesome! Let me start by saying that the X-Men are my favorite heroes of all time. However, Wolverine is not my favorite X-Man. This story made me look at Logan in a different light however. His life, for the most part, has for lack of a better word, sucked, in a large part due to Victor Creed, or Sabretooth if you will. Creed is not a nice dude. Logan isn't either. Things will be revealed here. More mystery will ensue. Not to mention great performances by the Black Panther and my personal favorite, the Goddess, the Princess, Storm! And the art is fantastic! Not to mention that you can't go wrong with a Jeph Loeb script. Blood,Blood,Blood! Highly recommended. Peace and Love, Jake
art > story well if you're looking for great story lines then don't buy this book. the whole idea of wolverine, wild child and sabretooth amongst others come from another form of evolution goes against every background story layed out for wolvie. the art is beautiful and def. worth the buy but i'd suggest waiting for paperback or buying the individual comics.
well, I rather liked it Personally, I thought this was a great story (Loeb is a great writer) and I found the art to be very good as well. Perhaps the dialogue could have used a little more work and there are a few weak points here and there, but overall it is a great addition to the story of Logan. I'd say I'd miss Sabertooth (after all, he's a great character and the greatest of Wolverine's nemesis [nemesi?]), but we all know that death means nothing in the world of comic books.
