The Good and The Bad I love Marvel. I have been reading it forever. I saw this book in a bookstore and I just had to have it. It was so thick, (needless to say I did not flip through the ENTIRE book), but the story was only HALF the book. I must admit the storyline is fantastic, however it was TOO short. I know there are a whole bunch of parallel stories for specific characters (Spiderman, Hulk, Ironman, etc.) but I would have liked the main storyline to be much longer and a little more epic. All in all great story, but get the story-only book and skip all the little "bonus material." It's like a DVD, do you really watch the "Bonus footage", ie: the commentaries?
Does Not Meet My High Expectations I'm going to keep it short, simple and get to the point. -Fabulous Artwork and drawings. WOW. -Great Battle scenes WOW. -Story is semi-flawed. It builds up hype for a 1 page ending...poorly. -No accurate characterization of characters. Don't even get me started on Spider-man. -Too short for something of this magnitude. The ending seems to just END. There is no thorough sum up of the post civil war plot of every character involved...I was hoping there would be the Cap going to court scene..but there wasn't. -A bit pricy for the number of pages it had.
I personally bought this book because of the new marvel ultimate alliance 2 game coming out. I wanted to really know what the story will be about. I Don't regret buying it because the artwork leaves a high re-readability factor. Exact rating: 3.5/5 (cant give halves in official amazon ratings) I recommend it to Epic Marvel Fans, people curious about half of the plotline of the Marvel ultimate alliance 2 game, and fans of great graphic novel artwork. For undecided people, its worth it under about $17, otherwise don't waste your money. <>
Awesome story, disapointing ending Over all, this is an awesome story line which I suggest to any Marvel lover to pick up and read. Also, the upcoming "Marvel Ultimate Aliance 2" is based off this story line. I really didn't like the ending, to me it negated the purpose of the story. But over all, very decent read and wonderful artwork.
Best comic book i've ever read This is spectacular! Everyone is in it: punisher, spider-man, ironman, captain america, thor, and many more. This comic gets five stars from me!
One of the most important events in comic history This to me is a great series. I have been just starting to read it starting with some of the tie ins but recently I bought this and so far this was the best. I am still going to get the other tie ins because they show different prospectives of what went on. This story was very well done and felt more realistic. I mean come on after years of super heroes, not one law was passed to make sure they werent dangerious. The only thing close was the Mutant registration in the X-Men series.
This had a lot of good fights and plot twist. The Fantastic 4 divided, people switching sides, etc. This is possibly one of the most important events in comic history
