Great Conversation Starter I have a 2 1/2 year old who is very verbal. She really enjoyed these cards though some of the questions on the back of the cards are a little advanced for her...there is definately room for growth in this toy. We also bought the my first words touch and feel cards and these are great cards for the 2-4 year old section of kiddos. I teach special ed students ages 0-5 and I can make these cards and the my first words cards adaptable for all the different ability levels.
Sturdy, Fun, Engaging! We purchased these in the 4 for 3 special along with shapes, animals and first words for our 19 month old son. He was immediately interested and now will try and get the cards off the shelf by himself. We go over a few cards each day and the textures are great, allowing us to linger on one card a bit longer while we describe and go over it. There are also tips and tricks for parents and suggestions for questions to ask your child on the back of each card.
These are not thin, flimsy flashcards, they are more like thick cardboard and the packaging is great. They come in a sturdy box with a flap closure that keeps everything nice and tidy. Our son loves these and so far they are holding up great to all that loving!
A definate must for toddlers My 15 month old daughter loves these cards. We have the complete set of Animals, numbers, colors, etc. She pulls them out daily and looks at them. She brings them to me so that I can teach her what the picture is telling her. They are sturdy under toddler feet, and in toddler hands. A wonderful product from the great publisher of DK. I recommend them over all other cards for this age group (and believe me I looked for an alternative).
