excellent Hiro Mashima's action packed story continues in volume 3. In this volume, our heroes try to stop a band of evil wizards from killing people with an evil flute of death. Mashima has created an interesting world with its own set of rules. One is the concept of the relationship between a summoner and the entity summoned, they create a contract. In a humorous twist, a character from volume 2, Virgo returns. There is also a very funny moment early on when Erza changes her armor, she looks like she's going to strip, and all of her enemies have hearts in their eyes; it's hilarious. Mashima also includes funny notes at the end of his manga, volume two had a hilarious "floor plan" on his studio. In volume 3 he includes a page of nice early art designs as well as a solicitation for fan art! Highly recommended.
