| 1. Johnny The Homicidal Maniac: Director's Cut |
|
By: Jhonen Vasquez Publisher: SLG Publishing 1997-07
I used to read these comics in High School and I thought that they were amazing. The material is still pretty good years later. The only part that I don't care for as much any more is the Happy Noodle Boy comic sections... maybe I just grew out of them, but the randomness just doesn't work for me. You could miss entire frames and not miss anything from the story of the comic (if there happens to be... more

| 2. Squee's Wonderful Big Giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors |
|
By: Jhonen Vasquez Publisher: SLG Publishing August 01, 1998
My God, I can't believe I buy this book . And I would say... I will CURSE Jhonen Vasquez for destroying my happy, normal mind.
Anyhow, this book is really something to be red. This is not an ordinary book that all about nice stuffs, about good versus bad things. This, at the exact contrary, is all about being a little boy who really has a veeeeeeeeery bad luck in his life.
Yep... more

| 3. Gargoyles: Clan Building Volume 2 |
|
By: Greg Weisman Publisher: SLG Publishing July 29, 2009
I've been looking forward to this collection for a while now & I must admit it lived up to my expectations at times while at others I was left scratching my head. It has been a long time since I saw the second half of Season 2 so a lot of the characters feel strange to me but I felt there was far too much going on in this collection. There was very little self containment and tangents going everywhere... more

| 4. Gargoyles: Clan Building Volume 1 |
|
By: Greg Weisman Publisher: SLG Publishing January 23, 2008
This collection is a good starting point for the new Gargoyles series and a lot of seeds were planted for an extended series. It's a pity that this series ended as quickly as it did - following volume 2. I enjoyed this collection despite the art which had a tendency to be blocky & all over the place at times. Most of the main characters are involved and this will bring a smile to fans faces... more

| 7. Beachbum Berry's Grog Log |
|
By: Jeff Berry, Annene Kaye, Craig Pape Publisher: SLG Publishing May 01, 1998
Looking at all the other reviews for the Grog Log, I see nothing but five stars awarded to this nifty little book, and I am not going to break with precedent.
For the uninitiated, "tropical", "exotic" or "tiki" drinks are part of a subgenre that the more snobby elements of the cocktail world would refer to as kitsch. A succesful mainstream cocktail book presents itself as emmaculately... more

| 8. Pinocchio: Vampire Slayer |
|
By: Dustin Higgins, Van Jensen Publisher: SLG Publishing October 28, 2009
This graphic novel is not what you think. The idea sounds crazy right? Well...if you are willing to read the entertaining mini-review of the original version Pinocchio that the comic provides, in which you realize that Disney really just seemed to use a few characters and plot points to create their version, the concept is a little bit easier to understand.
The original tale of Pinocchio... more

| 9. Nightmares and Fairy Tales: Once Upon a Time (Nightmares & Fairy Tales) (v. 1) |
|
By: Serena Valentino, FSc Publisher: SLG Publishing April 14, 2004
I'm keeping my graphic novels for now I like the art and the stories. Puts a smile on my face.I alos liked grims fairy tales. For those that think it's morbid, I think it shows human nature. I abhor child abuse but I only donate for animal charities becuase humans can help them selves. Wait I do donate to birthcontrol and sexual education. I do recommend the charities that buy animals for poor villagers... more

| 10. I Feel Sick #1 |
|
By: Jhonen Vasquez Publisher: Slave Labor Graphics 1999
Loved it..my daughter loved it...son loved it..nice to see alternative material for people to read. We don't all want suburban mainstream drivel. The graphics are excellent, the story of course isn't for everybody, the humor is dark. This was our first from Jhonen, we have a couple of Dirge Lenore comics, which are excellent also... more
