Above average writing and drawing, but the visual impact is reduced because the publisher decided to reduce the page size by about an inch in both directions. That's a huge difference in visual clarity. Remember the comics wrapped around Bazooka bubblegum? It's like that. Art was great and the story well written. It's been awhile since I've read or collected comic books. But it wasn't one of those couldn't put it down stories. Not sure why. Take any cop show and try and find an episode that was to bland to be aired on TV so they put it in as an extra in a box set and labeled it "never before seen episode" and you have Gotham Central. I thought it was an actual novel from the great movie "The Road from Perdition" I was to receive, which I truly believe to be one of the great movies of recent years.
