By: Douglas A. Bernstein, Edward J. Roy, Thomas K. Srull, Christo Wickens Publisher: Houghton Mifflin College Div 1993-06
Its simple I loved this book all around. Its very intresting and does a great job of going over each important aspect of psychology. Also I really liked the little samples here and there they seem to have supported the chapters in a good way. I bought this textbook for a summer school class and decided just to keep it because I liked it so much!... more

| 3. The Barry Windsor-Smith Conan Archives Volume 1 |
|
By: Roy Thomas, Barry Windsor-Smith Publisher: Dark Horse March 03, 2010
Wow. I just got this in the mail, and I had to leaf through it immediately. What a package!
First of all, the cover is done in a beautiful faux-leather, with an inset full color image of Conan. It simply feels wonderful to just hold.
The artwork, in the bold colors described in the previous review, is vividly reproduced on heavy stock. There's a ribbon bookmark sewn in... more

| 5. The Western Humanities Volume 1 |
|
By: Roy Matthews, Dewitt Platt, Thomas Noble Publisher: McGraw-Hill Humanities/Social Sciences/Languages January 25, 2010
I initially used this textbook for a high school humanities class. This book is absolutely wonderful, and I feel completely knowledgeable about the history of western civilization now. There are plenty of illustrations to give examples of the works of various artists, as well as sections that summarize the cumulative effect of an age on the entire history of art. I would highly recommend this... more

| 7. Ring of the Nibelung |
|
By: R. Thomas, R. Wagner, Roy Thomas Publisher: DC Comics 1991-04
For many years, this has been my go-to translation When listening to the Ring. It is very well done stylistically, and makes good reading on its own, which is high praise for any opera libretto translation. This translation preserves the syllables and rhythms of the original German, so it is singable (well, anyway that is what my musically trained friends tell me). It seems to be an excellent translation... more

| 9. The Chronicles Of Kull Volume 1: A King Comes Riding And Other Stories (Chronicles of Kull 1) |
|
By: Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, Len Wein, John Severin, Marie Severin, Bernie Wrightson, Ross Andru, Wally Wood Publisher: Dark Horse Comics December 15, 2009
Kull had always been a poor cousin to Conan, even in the comics. The short run of this series testify to that lop-sided appreciation. Even Roy Thomas, who championed this series at first, gave up writing duties first to Len Wein and then Gerry Conway so as to focus on Conan and other titles. What really propels this series along is the quality artwork, which is clearly magnificent.
However... more

| 10. The Savage Sword Of Conan Volume 6 |
|
By: Roy Thomas, Michael Fleisher, Bruce Jones, Various Publisher: Dark Horse September 23, 2009
Delivers everything you expect from _Savage Sword_ ... plenty of violence, sorcery, monsters, beautiful women, and so forth. The stories in this volume are well-crafted, smarter and more elaborate than some have been in the past. The art is really good too, definitely up to my expectations. Even Gil Kane (who failed miserably in an earlier volume) brings his "A" game, and the story he drew this... more
