| 1. Batman: Hush |
|
By: Jeph Loeb, Jim Lee, Scott Williams, Paul Dini Publisher: Titan Books Ltd September 25, 2009
When you say something has it all, you normally overlook a few items. This is not the case when you read Hush and look at all of the elements. Storywise, you have everything you could ask for from Batman and a little more. There are the romantic elements that combine with the prolific Batman elements of yore, not to mention the thing that always hides somewhere inside a great storyline. There are the... more

| 2. Batman: Heart of Hush |
|
By: Paul Dini Publisher: DC Comics March 16, 2010
The second helping o stories from the A-Team of Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen collects the five part tie-in with the Batman:RIP, but stands apart from that story as it is supposed to be either cuncurrent or right before the events of RIP.
Dini takes Hush, a villain who had been languishing in bad writer hell for the last few years, and finally makes sense of him. When we last saw Hush... more

|
By: Grant Morrison, Peter Milligan, Fabian Nicieza, Paul Dini, Keith Champagne, Don Kramer, Jason Pearson, Tony Daniel, David Lopez, Freddie Williams Publisher: Titan Books Ltd June 26, 2009
First, I am a huge Batman fan and this by far was the worst graphic novel starring Batman that I have ever read.
There were obvious parts of the story that were left out of this collection. The writing was also the worst I have ever seen in a collection of stories.
This was a huge disappointment.
DON'T BUY THIS GRAPHIC NOVEL EVEN IF YOU ARE A BATMAN... more

| 4. Batman: Mad Love and Other Stories |
|
By: Paul Dini Publisher: DC Comics May 26, 2009
This is one of the best Batman graphic novels and should please all comic book aficionados. Mad Love is an excellent, fun yet semi-tragic tale and if you are a fan of Harley this is about as good as it gets. Paul Dini writes a good story and knows how to pull the reader into imagining the underworld of the tale without spelling it out. For lovers of illustration it is one to view with pleasure as... more

| 5. Batman: Private Casebook SC |
|
By: Paul Dini Publisher: DC Comics November 17, 2009
With this collection, Dini continues his above average run on Detective. Not every issue he puts out is a classic, but his highs far outweigh the lows. He starts us off with an Epilogue to the underwhelming Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul crossover. It makes for a fitting resolution, but feels a little tacked on. Then we have The Wonderland Gang, which is the weakest story in the book. I've never... more

| 8. Batman: Harley & Ivy |
|
By: Paul Dini, Judd Winick Publisher: DC Comics July 04, 2007
Harley and Ivy collects three fairly mindlessly entertaining Batman story arcs starring villainesses Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, all based on episodes from Batman the animated series, though kicked up with darker touches and sexual innuendo.
- "The Bet:" Harley makes a bet that Ivy can't win a kiss from every man in Arkham Asylum, only to have the bet backfire on her when her main man... more

| 9. Shazam!: Power of Hope |
|
By: Paul Dini, Alex Ross Publisher: DC Comics December 01, 2000
Within the first 10 pages of this very short story we see Captain Marvel telling a group of sick children how he took muzzled grizzly bears and threw them up in the air and juggled them as part of a circus act all to the kids great amusment. I guess the Captain's compassion only extends so far. The sick kids in the story are bringing tears to readers eyes at the same time they gloss over other forms... more

| 10. Countdown to Final Crisis, Vol. 1 |
|
By: Paul Dini Publisher: DC Comics June 10, 2008
I didn't found this book as bad as mostly say. I actually think it's not bad. I mean, it's the begining of something so it's normal is not action packed.
If you are a hardcore fan trying to get loads of action, this isn't the one for you. I admit that there is a lot of things that are not so cool, like telling us the new Flash is dead or why the Amazons are attaking Washington. You... more
