| | 2. Showcase Presents: The Brave and the Bold - The Batman Team-Ups, Vol. 1 |
| By: Bob Haney, Mike Sekowsky Publisher: DC Comics January 24, 2007
The first 300 pages of this collection are absolutely painful to read. Groan-inducing dialog, uninteresting villains and boring stories that drag on for 23 pages each. I almost gave up. Then about 300 pages in, Neal Adams takes over as the artist and everything changes. Comics are a visual medium and this collection proves the importance and influence a great artist can have. The stories drawn... more

| | 5. Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea: The Complete Series Volume 1 |
| By: Various, George Wilson, Mike Sekowsky, George Tuska, Don Heck, Alberto Giolitti Publisher: Hermes Press July 13, 2009
A trip down memory lane...a costly one, but an enjoyable one for anyone who grew up in the 60's like I did, with a weekly menu of great TV shows to look forward to. There was nothing I enjoyed quite as much as the shows created and produced by Irwin Allen, and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea was certainly his most successful. I loved to collect comics back then, and the TV and movie... more

| By: Gardner F. Fox, etc. Publisher: Titan Books Ltd November 21, 2003
More generic and campy tales from the silver age of DC comics. It does manage to have a few memorable moments.
The Super-Crisis That Struck Earth Two/The Negative Crisis on Earths One-Two Features the debut of a grown up Robin in the Justice Society, taking the place of a retired Batman. Four humans are imbued by small black spheres to have tremendous power, and also turns them evil... more

| | 7. Showcase Presents: Robin, the Teen Wonder (Showcase Presents) |
| By: Gardner F. Fox, Bob Haney, Neal Adams, Mike Sekowsky Publisher: Titan Books Ltd January 09, 2008
This book contains dozens of stories from Batman, Detective, and World's Finest comics that have Robin either off on his own or teamed with Batman, Batgirl, Jimmy Olsen, or a host of others. I like the stories, but for some reason, they seem second-tier to Batman stories, although I would imagine that was the intended idea. Anyway, if you like Robin all the time, then this book is for you... more

| By: Gardner Fox, Denny O'Neil, Steve Englehart, Gerry Conway Publisher: DC Comics December 20, 2006
A group of issues included for the reason of a particular character officially joining the Justice League of America.
This starts right in the early days with Green Arrow, moving on into the more interesting eras with the fine artwork by Dick Dillin, and including the Red Tornado, and Zatanna not long after the events of Zatanna's search, with her new costume.
Finally extending... more
