then you will enjoy this book. The book is based on the television series Criminal Minds and if you like the show and the characters, you will probably like them here too. I think that if I weren't such a fan of the show, then I might find the characters a little two dimensional. It's a quick, fun read that kept me entertained on my daily commute. All in all, I enjoyed reading this book... more

| 4. The Mike Hammer Collection Volume 1 |
|
By: Mickey Spillane Publisher: NAL Trade June 12, 2001
Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer collection is a must have for detective thrillers and nostalgia seekers alike. The lowest common denominator language unembellished with adjectives and adverbs is raw, urgent, harsh and cuts to the bone. Hammer is a hard drinking neanderthal with a nonstop libido. Maybe if people read more by writers like Spillane, they wouldn't believe the flowery garbage they see... more

Okay, nobody is going to confuse this with great literature, but for fans of the short-lived television series, this book should provide a satisfying trip back to the Dark Angel world. This story is essentially a sequel to the final episode of the series, and tells us the story of the showdown between Max (and the other transgenics) and Ames White, renegade NSA agent and member of a secret conclave... more

By: Max Allan Collins Publisher: Del Rey October 01, 2002
As a huge fan of the show I was excited to hear that I would finnally be able to get my Dark Angel fix after many years of withdrawl. Sadly, I was let down.
First, this is not a good book. Its badly written and the descriptions are very clinical and wooden, it lacks the passion that the show had.
Secondly, It doesn't match up with the TV Show. I'm really supposed to... more

| 9. The Goliath Bone (Mike Hammer) |
|
By: Mickey Spillane, Max Allan Collins Publisher: Houghton Mifflin Harcourt October 13, 2008
I'd like to blame the fact that this was my first experience with Mike Hammer, but the truth is the story just wasn't that engaging. I was expecting an action-packed, hardboiled thriller, but it took too long to get from one exciting passage to the next. The story was okay in that the premise was interesting, but it failed to deliver, in my opinion... more
