| 1. Tomb Of Dracula Omnibus Volume 1 HC Variant (v. 1) |
| By: Gerry Conway, Archie Goodwin, Gardner F. Fox, Marv Wolfman, Chris Claremont, David Kraft, Gene Colan, Mike Ploog, Don Heck, Virgilio Redondo Publisher: Marvel Comics November 26, 2008
I love the Stan Lee omnibuses, especially Silver Surfer and Uncanny Xmen Chris Claremont from 1975- so I picked this up to see how the Dracula series was. It was very enjoyable the first 7 issues with those classic writers, then Wolfman takes over. He's good but never really went to the edge of excitement with the idea, but there are some creepy issues. I look forward to the 2nd omnibus where Dracula... more

| | 2. Crisis on Infinite Earths |
| By: Marv Wolfman, George Perez Publisher: DC Comics January 01, 2001
This is hands down, one of the best, most beautifully drawn, most satisfying comics reading experiences ever produced. If you like superheroes, and DC heroes in particular, you need to own this. If nothing else, you'll come away from the series intrigued by DC's vast and colorful history, and the sheer inventiveness of the people who worked there, building the modern myhts that so many of us love... more

| | 4. Angel Sanctuary 2 |
| By: Kaori Yuki By: Kaori Yuki 2008-03
This series is a true gem. This is manga storytelling at it's finest, a true epic saga that I haven't seen the likes of in manga.
The premise is an Orpheus and Eurydice-like tale, of the main character, Setsuna, doing anything and going anywhere (including Heaven and Hell) to find his love (and also younger sister), Sarah. This would have been interesting enough, except that he is the... more

| | 7. Daredevil, Vol. 1 (v. 1) |
| By: Frank Miller, Bill Mantlo, Marv Wolfman, Roger McKenzie, David Michelinie Publisher: Marvel Comics December 03, 2008
This collection of Frank Miller's Daredevil run covers everything he touched, which is more historically interesting than entertaining. The first half of this book isn't written by Frank Miller and doesn't look much like his style. The two Spider-Man issues guest starring Daredevil may have been the first time Miller drew the Man Without Fear, but they're not inked by Klaus Janson, and they begin... more

| | 8. Crisis on Infinite Earths (Absolute Edition) |
| By: Marv Wolfman Publisher: DC Comics November 16, 2005
When this story was finally collected by DC for the first time sometime between 98/99' they released a regular sized hardcover edition that cost about the same as this Absolute edition but without the extras. I love this series so much that although I already own that very handsome (and expensive) HC regular size edition, I still bought the Absolute anyway. The story is that cool! If you grew up... more

| | 10. Superman: The Man of Steel, Vol. 3 |
| By: John Byrne, Marv Wolfman Publisher: DC Comics October 01, 2004
Byrne inked most of his own issues on Incredible Hulk and Fantastic Four; in his Man of Steel series he gets several amazing inkers. Kesel's slick & refined inks are some of the best in this series!
Highlights here for me... *Superman 4- Jimmy Olsen & Bloodsport. Another stand-out favorite of mine in Byrne's entire run. His figure-work and details in the backgrounds are... more
