| By: Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Robert Bernstein, Don Rico, Al Hartley, Roy Thomas, Flo Steinberg, Don Heck, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Gene Colan Publisher: Marvel Comics May 21, 2008
This is a great book! I am a big comic book fan. I love how big it is. The artwork is GREAT the story is awesome.
Yes it is full color. It's in a very handsome hard-cover. I lost the dustcover for mine :(. Actually never got to see it(though this was not Amazon's fault at all).
A bit pricy but I don't care abiout that. This book is going in my collection... more

| | 3. Indiana Jones Omnibus: The Further Adventures Volume 2 |
| By: David Michelinie, Herb Trimpe, Larry Lieber, Others, Jackson Guice, Steve Ditko By: David Michelinie, Herb Trimpe, Others Publisher: Dark Horse November 18, 2009
The comparisons between the old Marvel adventures of Indy and the Dark Horse adventures are inevitable--especially since Dark Horse is putting out the old Marvel stories in these omnibus editions. (For which I am very grateful, Dark Horse!)
Comparing the "new" adventures side-by-side with the old ones in these editions, I cannot declare an absolute winner. I think the Dark Horse... more

| | 4. Marvel Masterworks: The Human Torch Vol 1 (Strange Tales, Fantastic Four) |
| By: Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Robert Bernstein, Ernie Hart, Jerry Siegel Publisher: Marvel Enterprises September 20, 2006
The Human Torch series from Strange Tales was the last Silver Age Marvel superhero series to be collected in the Marvel Masterworks series of hardcover books. It's not hard to see why. This is easily the worst of the Marvel superhero comics from the time period (yes, even worse than Ant-Man). The Human Torch, of course, is a member of the Fantastic Four. It must have seemed like a good idea at... more

| | 5. Atlas Era Tales to Astonish (Marvel Masterworks) |
| By: Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Don Heck, Stan Lee, Larry Lieber Publisher: Marvel Enterprises March 26, 2008
It is very nice to me can read stories from the 50th. Stories with great monsters and invasions from the center of the Earth. Beings transformed by radiation, like the old great classic movies. A world with normal people, without powers. It was my dream can read these stories. Other thing is the great art by Jack Kirb! A must for all!!!... more

| | 6. Marvel Masterworks, Atlas Era Tales of Suspense 2 |
| By: Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Don Heck, Stan Lee, Larry Lieber Publisher: Marvel Enterprises 2008-07
This is a generic review for all the Masterworks _Tales to Astonish_ and _Tales of Suspense_ 1 & 2. Some of us entered elementary school in the mid-50's and came of age then. In the late 50's and early 60's, between the movies "Forbidden Planet," "The Blob," "I Married a Monster from Outer Space," _and_ TV's "Star Trek," there existed an entertainment gap for early Sci-fi buffs. We were transitioning... more

| | 8. The Hugo Winners, Volume 4: Thirteen Prizewinning Stories (1976 - 1979) |
| By: Roger Zelazny, Larry Niven, Fritz Lieber, James Tiptree Jr. Publisher: Doubleday Books 1985-03
This volume collects the coveted prize-winning novellas, novelettes, and short stories from 1976 to 1979. The Viet Nam debacle had left America questioning the role of violence in resolving human conflict, and some of the better selections reflect that concern in imaginative ways.
Among the notables: Zelazny's "Home Is the Hangman" is an immediately engrossing private eye thriller... more
