| 1. 52, Vol. 4 |
| By: Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid, Keith Giffen Publisher: DC Comics November 07, 2007
This volume collects the fourth quarter of DC Comics' fifty-two issue weekly serial. If you read the first 39 issues' worth of this series then you'll almost certainly be buying this final act. The various plotlines reach their respective conclusions: some were fascinating while others disappointed. The multiverse segment at the end was too abstract for my tastes. The art seemed more disjointed... more

I haven't even begin Volume 4, but I gotta tell you, this volume is quite amazing. So many great things happening... revelations, massive loss of lifes, the shape of a tragedy to come.
I feel chills just to think on what will happen next.
Can't wait, and you should either. Get this now and you'll have a better understanding on Final Crisis... more

| | 3. 52, Vol. 1 |
| By: Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid Publisher: DC Comics May 02, 2007
I'm a guy going through the road to Final Crisis and I gotta tell this book worth every cent of my money. I took the liberty of begining with Crisis on Infinite Earths, Hush, Under the Hood, the Countdowns and Infinite Crisis.
52 is a direct continuation to Infinite Crisis. Just were it left, without the 3 main guys and with the leftover heros... did I say "leftovers"?. I mean, this... more

| By: Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid Publisher: DC Comics July 04, 2007
People complaint that there was not enough action on this one, but I respectfully disagree. Plot is being build and there are enough plot twists to leave you wanting for more.
Worth every penny again. ... more

| | 5. Annihilation, Book 1 (Marvel Comics) (Bk. 1) |
| By: Keith Giffen, Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, Mitch Breitweiser, Scott Kolins, Ariel Olivetti, Kev Walker Publisher: Marvel Comics October 31, 2007
Annihilation caught my eye during the midst of the Planet Hulk - World War Hulk, Civil War issues. After reading the first issue I got hooked and immediatley grabbed every issue I could get my hands on. It's a much better read than the aforementioned titles. I consider this a must have for any fan of comics, even if you aren't up to date with the characters or have any idea who they are, it's easy... more

| | 6. Annihilation, Book 2 (Marvel Comics) (Bk. 2) |
| By: Keith Giffen, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Simon Furman, Renato Arlem, Jorge Lucas, Greg Titus Publisher: Marvel Comics November 28, 2007
I really enjoyed the first Annihilation trade but this collection almost seemed pointless. The three different stories all seemed like they didn't really fit into the overall story. If anything they were afterthoughts and shouldn't have been collected as "Part 2" of the whole when they really aren't. The art of the Super-Skrull story, while not bad, didn't fit with the story at all. Overall, this... more

| By: Keith Giffen, Christos Gage, Stuart Moore, Andrea Divito, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Mike McKone, Scott Kolins Publisher: Marvel Comics December 19, 2007
The first two books of this collection were hit and miss for me but this third book really hammered home how good Marvel cosmic can be. There was solid stroy-telling from both art and writing. The thing that this avoided (except for the Heralds extra 2 issues) was there was no "big concept" cosmic stuff that bores the crap out of everyone. I really enjoyed how the story ended and look forward to... more

| | 8. Blue Beetle (Book 1): Shellshocked |
| By: Keith Giffen Publisher: DC Comics December 06, 2006
The New series starts with a new Beetle, Jaime Reyes is a teen who lives in Texas near the Mexican border. The books starts off with his disappearance and then his readjustment after he comes back one year later. And he starts off as a reluctant hero and then starts to get his wings and become a full fledged hero. The art is nice too and I would have to say this is definitely worth the buy... more

| | 9. Annihilation: Conquest, Book 1 (Bk.1) |
| By: Keith Giffen, Christos Gage, Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning Publisher: Marvel Comics February 20, 2008
This is a great book. Following the Annihilation wave the Universe has plunged into chaos. The Phalinx are the newest threat. A compelling cast of characters(including Drax, Rocket Racoon, Starlord, Qausar, Moondragon, and Nova) and a great team of writers and artists made this an instant classic. It's Quirky, Funny, and Heavy all at the same time. While the Annihilation 3 book set proceeding this... more

| | 10. Justice League International, Vol. 3 |
| By: Keith Giffen, J M DeMatteis Publisher: DC Comics December 01, 2009
After Vol 2's spotty reproduction (what with broken up word balloons and other effects that should be cleared up in a reprinted collection), we get Vol 3 where the linework maintains its integrity and the colors are bursting! Sure, Steve Leialoha's art is an acquired taste (one which, I must admit, I did not acquire), but Ty Templeton and especially Kevin Maguire did a wonderful job pencilling... more
