Ahh Buffy! A story i never get tired of reading, this latest volume is just yet another entertaining piece from the ever so talented Jane Espenson. This story sees the pretty gals teaming up in Tibet with Oz only to find themselves without much power and having to heavily rely on available resources. which are few. the Artistry, story and the skits at the end of the book are much worth buying and... more

|
By: Joss Whedon, Jane Espenson, Steven S. DeKnight, Drew Z. Greenberg, Jim Krueger, Doug Petrie Publisher: Dark Horse Comics October 07, 2009
This arc felt like a filler to me. The main plotline slowly moves on but everything seems to fall apart far too quickly for the slayers. There are some funny moments in it but there is far too much Andrew in this storyline. At least we know where Giles & Faith are. Otherwise it's an ok book but that's about all it is... more

Joss Whedon brings Buffy Summers back to life (again) with Season 8 of the cult TV hit--exclusively in the comics aisle. Following the destruction of Sunnydale Buffy, now in command of literally hundreds of Slayers, continues the war against the forces of darkness. But an investigation into a mysterious cult, combined with the return of old enemies, raises the stakes even higher. With artist Georges... more

| 4. Serenity, Vol. 2: Better Days |
|
By: Joss Whedon Publisher: Dark Horse Comics September 26, 2008
Firefly was one of the best sleeper television shows ever. It was canned before it really had a chance, another example of network abuse of a very good television series. The follow-up movie, Serenity, lived up to all expectations and more. There is a reason SyFy lists it at a "four star" movie. It earned the kudos.
If you're looking for a comic book version of Firefly, this should... more

| 6. No Future For You (Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight, Volume 2) |
|
By: Brian K. Vaughan, Joss Whedon Publisher: Dark Horse Comics June 11, 2008
If Buffy, the petite pop-modern vampire slayer wasn't enough for you this second volume from Joss Whedon's "Season Eight" of Buffy brings tortured, anti-heroine slayer Faith back into play in a role even more suited to her than vampire and demon slaying. Part of the draw of the Buffy-verse is the balance of darkness and good. Every character has had their dips into evil, from Xander's flirtations... more

| 7. Wolves at the Gate (Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight, Volume 3) |
|
By: Drew Goddard, Joss Whedon Publisher: Dark Horse Comics November 12, 2008
Likely my favorite volume of Buffy so far, Book Three starts off with Buffy finding out about the major plot from the last volume, the lingering number of Slayers who have escaped her tutelage and have become something other than the first line of defense against evil. But before Buffy and the gang have time to assess this new threat their castle is attacked by a group of vampires, unlike any... more

New York Times best-selling author Brad Meltzer takes a crack at the comic book spectrum with penciller Rags Morales, and the result is a life-changing event centered mostly on the minor players of the DC universe.
