This book is for the "fans" of the Angel Series and the Buffyverse.
The graphics are really good, and the characters are pretty realistic. Read this book is like watch an episode of the Angel Series.

I'm not a big comics person, but huge into Doctor Who these days, and picked up this compendium of reprints from old Doctor Who Monthly magazines. As I don't have the time or patience to buy individual comics (and many have stories that take me about one minute to read) I prefer these trade paperbacks.
And the writing is good, and great job coloring the old b&w comics.

Proving that not everyone looks for the same things in their reading choices, I actually enjoyed the third story best of the three collected here. Comic books in general are just fun reading for me--the palate cleansers between other readings--and these really fit the bill.

The long and the short is this: You've got Peter David writing this, so you know you've got great characters, fantastic plotting, and twists and turns galore. Combine that with his interesting take on religion, faith, etc. (which thematically ties waaay back into his Supergirl work--NOT that you need to have read anything prior to this), and you've got a winner.

I watched the movie and was anxious to suck up some more G.I. Joe v.2009 so I bought this graphic novel. I am only disappointed because I read through it in about 15 minutes and don't see any value in going through it again. The live action shot of Sienna Miller's "Baroness" is super-hot if you like leather-clad hotties with guns and I haven't seen this picture anywhere else...I would LOVE to have... more
