| By: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Publisher: Sterling February 11, 2010
A Study in Scarlet, by A. Conan Doyle
This story introduced the world to John H. Watson M.D., who was wounded in the second Afghan war and then suffered from enteric fever. He was invalided back to England. He is looking for reasonable lodgings. A friend tells him about Sherlock Holmes who is also looking for someone to share expenses. Holmes is described as cold-blooded in outlook. Holmes... more

| | 2. Aliens Omnibus Volume 3 (v. 3) |
| By: Ian Edginton, Peter Milligan, Jim Woodring, Various, Will Simpson, Paul Johnson, Kilian Plunkett, Mike Mignola By: Various Publisher: Dark Horse March 12, 2008
This is my first foray into the Aliens Omnibus and I was not disappointed. The level of storytelling and overall theme of this collection was excellent, with the exception of the last stories Horror Show and Advent/Terminus, which didn't fit the theme of Man-Playing-God with the Aliens. Those 2 were my least favorite. The humorous Reapers was a nice change of pace for the Aliens Universe ... more

| | 3. Batman: No Man's Land, Vol. 2 |
| By: Greg Rucka, Bob Gale, Ian Edginton, Dennis O'Neil, Lisa Klink Publisher: DC Comics February 01, 2000
Three and a half stars.
Back in 1999, DC Comics came out with BATMAN: NO MAN'S LAND, a momentous year-long event which ran thru the Batman-related titles, including that of Nightwing and Robin (although, unfortunately, none of their issues were collected in the five No Man's Land trades). In the wake of the filovirus and the earthquake which ravaged Gotham and its denizens, Congress shockingly... more

| | 4. The Hound of the Baskervilles (Illustrated Classics): A Sherlock Holmes Graphic Novel |
| By: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Publisher: Sterling August 06, 2009
While certainly enjoyable in its' own right, there could be a loftier purpose behind this graphic novel, one that is quite commendable and hopefully just the dawning of many similar projects to follow. Transposing traditional novels into more reader friendly alternatives may open up these time treasured tomes to an entirely new audience, people who normally don't read many full length books, and what... more

| By: Mark Schultz, Chuck Dixon, Ian Edginton, Others, Doug Wheatley, Gene Colan, Eduardo Risso By: Others Publisher: Dark Horse February 11, 2009
Worth it just for the story "Glass Corridor", one of the best Aliens stories that I have read yet. Very interesting art style in this story too.
This volume also includes great stories, such as : Apocalypse, Border Lines, Elder Gods (which has an amusing Lovecraft gag running through it), stalker, and Wraith. There are some other OK stories too, such as Pig and Purge.

| By: Ian Edginton, Paul Jenkins, Geoff Johns, Ron Marz, David Wohl, Keu Cha, Michael Choi, Francis Manapul Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics April 29, 2009
I really want to like this book, seriously, but it was way to inconsistent, and way to simplistic for most of the 50 issues.
For one i do not buy a comic book just because it has skimpy outfitted women half naked, and sometimes way to overdrawn boobies. The first 30 issues were difficult to get through only because they were mostly terrible and so simple that only a kid that's easily entertained... more

| By: Dan Abnett, Ian Edginton Publisher: BOOM! Studios July 15, 2007
I am a big fan of the Warhammer 40,000 novels and especially of author Dan Abnett. However, I've alwasy considered myself to have outgrown graphic novels. This book, however, has made me a believer again. Awesome story! Great Graphics! Good Length! I'm a graphic novel guy again!... more

There are two stories that relate to KOTOR I and II. Some interesting stories on some other lesser known charecters as well, however, this collection didnt have enough of my main favorites (Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Palpitine) to be that interesting to me. Full of bit charecters, the other collections have a much better spread... more
