| 1. Wolverine Omnibus, Vol. 1 |
| By: Chris Claremont, Barry Windsor-Smith, Len Wein, Peter David, Mary Jo Duffy, James C. Owlsley, Carl Potts Publisher: Marvel Comics April 01, 2009
I have to say this was one fun book to read, i always loved the character but never got a chance to read these stories, and see what made the so great. This is exactly the stories that show, wolverine is not just a berserker. I loved almost all the stories here, although i have to admit that the hulk stories were my least favorite, at least the first ones where wolverine made his first appearance... more

| By: Larry Hama, Herb Trimpe, Steven Grant, Don Perlin, Mike Vosberg By: Herb Trimpe Publisher: IDW Publishing January 29, 2009
In 1981 Hasbro made one of the smartest decisions of any toy company. They went to Marvel comics to develop a backstory for their relaunch of GI Joe. Marvel already had some success with licensed books such as their Star Wars comic, Conan and Micronauts but it was with GI Joe that Marvel really made their mark. The comic went to Japanese-American and army vet Larry Hama who manage to take an ever... more

| By: David Michelinie, Herb Trimpe, Larry Lieber, Others, Jackson Guice, Steve Ditko By: David Michelinie, Herb Trimpe, Others Publisher: Dark Horse November 18, 2009
The comparisons between the old Marvel adventures of Indy and the Dark Horse adventures are inevitable--especially since Dark Horse is putting out the old Marvel stories in these omnibus editions. (For which I am very grateful, Dark Horse!)
Comparing the "new" adventures side-by-side with the old ones in these editions, I cannot declare an absolute winner. I think the Dark Horse... more

| | 8. Omega: The Unknown Classic TPB |
| By: Jim Mooney, Herb Trimpe, Steve Gerber, Mary Skrenes, Scott Edelman, Roger Stern Publisher: Marvel Comics January 11, 2006
Having read almost all of Steve Gerber's work for Marvel, DC, and the short-lived Malibu (during the early 90's comic boom), I can safely say that although Omega the Unknown was abruptly cancelled with no solid or worthy ending (written by Steven Grant rather than Steve Gerber), it is one of the best pieces of comic literature I've experienced. Steve Gerber put himself on the comics map with his awesome... more

| | 9. Essential Incredible Hulk: v. 2: Tales to Astonish (Tpb Vol 2) |
| By: Stan Lee Publisher: Panini (UK) Ltd. May 01, 2004
Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry... never spoken in this volume, just for the hard of understanding. I read Marvel's superhero comics when I was a kid and they were wonderful. The Hulk was never a favourite of mine and so when I bought this to reminisce I found I did not know literally any of the stories although I had long known the origins of this character.
I... more
