| 1. Infinite Crisis: The Companion (Infinite Crisis) |
| By: Greg Rucka Publisher: Titan Books Ltd November 24, 2006
Let me start out by saying this is my first review and I do not want to give any spoilers, so the info I give will be limited. This far surpasses the previous mega DC crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths from the 1980s, which this is considered a sequal of. The previous Crisis dragged on and on at the end. This book actually focused on a limited number of characters and was a lot less confusing... more

| | 2. Batman: No Man's Land |
| By: Greg Rucka Publisher: Atria January 01, 2000
Even Superman has a strong feeling that it's hopeless.
The good residents of Gotham City have barely survived two outbreaks of a deadly virus and now a severe earthquake has caused hideous devastation. The federal government has set a time-line for people to permanently vacate the area before all possible roads leading out of the city will be destroyed or barricaded.

| | 3. Gotham Central Book One: In the Line of Duty |
| By: Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka Publisher: DC Comics September 16, 2008
I started reading Brubaker with his Captain America and Daredevil. I was introduced to Rucka through his work in "52". I love those books, but had no idea what I was missing by not reading Gotham Central.
It reads like a great cop TV show or film: Noir atmosphere, powerful characters and compelling stories. It was hard to put down this first volume. I'm planning to savor the second... more

| | 4. Gotham Central Vol. 2: Jokers and Madmen HC |
| By: Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka Publisher: DC Comics September 15, 2009
Starting in 2003, the multiple-Eisner award winning "Gotham Central" series followed two separate shifts of police officers working in the present-day Major Crimes Unit of the Gotham City Police Department. In the GCPD's struggle against crime and terror, Batman looms as both competitor and savior. This second DC hardcover collects issues #11-22 of the series. Most stories were a collaboration between... more

| | 5. 52, Vol. 4 |
| By: Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid, Keith Giffen Publisher: DC Comics November 07, 2007
This volume collects the fourth quarter of DC Comics' fifty-two issue weekly serial. If you read the first 39 issues' worth of this series then you'll almost certainly be buying this final act. The various plotlines reach their respective conclusions: some were fascinating while others disappointed. The multiverse segment at the end was too abstract for my tastes. The art seemed more disjointed... more

I haven't even begin Volume 4, but I gotta tell you, this volume is quite amazing. So many great things happening... revelations, massive loss of lifes, the shape of a tragedy to come.
I feel chills just to think on what will happen next.
Can't wait, and you should either. Get this now and you'll have a better understanding on Final Crisis... more

| | 7. 52, Vol. 1 |
| By: Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid Publisher: DC Comics May 02, 2007
I'm a guy going through the road to Final Crisis and I gotta tell this book worth every cent of my money. I took the liberty of begining with Crisis on Infinite Earths, Hush, Under the Hood, the Countdowns and Infinite Crisis.
52 is a direct continuation to Infinite Crisis. Just were it left, without the 3 main guys and with the leftover heros... did I say "leftovers"?. I mean, this... more

| By: Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid Publisher: DC Comics July 04, 2007
People complaint that there was not enough action on this one, but I respectfully disagree. Plot is being build and there are enough plot twists to leave you wanting for more.
Worth every penny again. ... more
