| 2. Batman: No Man's Land, Vol. 1 |
|
By: Bob Gale, Devin Grayson Publisher: DC Comics September 01, 1999
Even Superman has a strong feeling that it's hopeless.
The good residents of Gotham City have barely survived two outbreaks of a deadly virus and now a severe earthquake has caused hideous devastation. The federal government has set a time-line for people to permanently vacate the area before all possible roads leading out of the city will be destroyed or barricaded.

| 3. Batman: War Games, Act One - Outbreak |
|
By: Ed Brubaker, Andersen Gabrych, Devin Grayson, Dylan Horrocks, Bill Willingham Publisher: DC Comics March 01, 2005
If ever a Batman crossover was guilty of overextending into too many titles, War Games is it. It is an ironic paradox that the massive length of this storyline is both a strength and a weakness of it. On the positive side, it allows for an in depth presentation of events and characters, thus making them more realistic and relatable. It also convincingly illustrates the extent and duration of the utter... more

| 4. Batman: Bruce Wayne - Fugitive, Vol. 2 |
|
By: Greg Rucka, Devin Grayson Publisher: DC Comics March 01, 2003
Bruce Wayne: Murdered and Fugitive series is a good story arc. Nothing exceptional either in the story or the art. For some reason though, I do like the interaction of the other characters with Batman as the question his innocence.
I do recommend it. I have read it a couple of times, so it is good enough to read more than once... more

| 5. Batman: No Man's Land, Vol. 5 |
|
By: Devin Grayson, Greg Rucka Publisher: DC Comics April 01, 2001
After suffering through the 4 previous trades leading up to this I was expecting the ending to suck. However i was quite surprised. The last book pulled it together and provided me with a satisfying ending. The story wasn't as jumpy in this book and I enjoyed it. However if you didn't read the previous books you'll have trouble following it.
If you want to run the gauntlet and read the... more

| 6. BATMAN: BRUCE WAYNE - MURDERER ?: BRUCE WAYNE - MURDERER? |
|
By: CHUCK DIXON, DEVIN GRAYSON ED BRUBAKER Publisher: TITAN BOOKS LTD 2002
"Bruce Wayne, Murderer?" is an incredible story with several twists and turns. It really puts Bruce Wayne outside of his regular element, and really shows some depth of the character development that Batman/Bruce Wayne has undergone in recent comics.
Just a really great story, and I would recommend it to anyone!... more

| 7. DC Universe: Inheritance |
|
By: Devin Grayson Publisher: Grand Central Publishing June 01, 2006
As with "Last Sons" this DC Universe novel also focuses on secondary characters rather than the major players. Reading the first chapter is a bit tedious about people we have no connection to but once the Dark Knight's alter ego makes his appearance on his 'cast aluminum doormat' with Alfred the story picks up.
Ollie Queen (Green Arrow) is quickly brought into the fray in perfect character... more

By: Devin Grayson, J.G. Jones Publisher: Marvel Comics September 01, 2001
This is everything a comic book should be. Awesome story---non-stop action---and beautiful artwork. Let me rephrase that. Art work that makes Jim Lee's stuff look like "Dick, Jane and Spot".
Why J.G. Jones isn't the most overused artist in the industry is beyond me. I honestly don't think I've ever seen better artwork in my life.
In the first tale, "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider"... more

| 9. Nightwing & Huntress |
|
By: Devin Grayson Publisher: DC Comics January 01, 2004
Nightwing & Huntress has an interesting premise and a good choice of characters to bring together. Nightwing is the grown-up Robin and Huntress was originally conceived as the grown daughter of Batman and Catwoman but recast as a mafia princess who now hunts criminals and as a more extreme version of Batman. Both are surrogate children of Batman, the loyal son and the rebellious daughter. more

| 10. Nightwing: Mobbed Up (Nightwing (Graphic Novels)) |
|
By: Devin Grayson Publisher: DC Comics March 29, 2006
This isn't the best story out there, but it gets the job done in my opinion. As the cover, title, and summary explain, Dick has suffered through loss, and appears to be drifting away from what he once was. If you're looking for a typical good over evil, blah blah blah type of story, this isn't it. If you do get Mobbed Up though, you definately want to get Renegade with it, which picks up right where... more
