| 1. The DC Comics Guide to Writing Comics |
| By: Dennis O'Neil Publisher: Watson-Guptill June 01, 2001
This is a solid overview of how to write a comic. Decent for the price it is a good text for an introduction into the art of comic script writing. For a more thorough look I highly recommend Scott McCloud's Making Comics. ... more

| | 2. Batman: No Man's Land, Vol. 2 |
| By: Greg Rucka, Bob Gale, Ian Edginton, Dennis O'Neil, Lisa Klink Publisher: DC Comics February 01, 2000
Three and a half stars.
Back in 1999, DC Comics came out with BATMAN: NO MAN'S LAND, a momentous year-long event which ran thru the Batman-related titles, including that of Nightwing and Robin (although, unfortunately, none of their issues were collected in the five No Man's Land trades). In the wake of the filovirus and the earthquake which ravaged Gotham and its denizens, Congress shockingly... more

| | 3. The Question, Vol. 1: Zen and Violence |
| By: Dennis O'Neil Publisher: DC Comics October 03, 2007
I first heard of the Question when the Justice League cartoon became Justice League Unlimited. He was introduced in "Fearful Symetry", and although his name was not mentioned, and he had no powers to speak of, I knew he was incredibly cool. I began researching his character, and my hopes of finding any comics about him dwindled. He was such a minor player, how could he ever get a compilation like Batman... more

| | 4. Green Lantern/Green Arrow Collection - Volume 1 |
| By: Dennis O'Neil, Neal Adams Publisher: DC Comics June 01, 2004
Diehard comic book fans already know the special friendship between Green Lantern and Green Arrow. This book collects the stories which started it all. The book explores the social issues prevalent in the 60s and 70s, and demonstrates how these events bring the two (three, if you include Black Canary) to forge a frienship which still lasts, as is apparent in James Robinson's "Cry for Justice" JLA mini... more

| | 5. Green Lantern/Green Arrow Collection - Volume 2 |
| By: Dennis O'Neil, Elliot S. Maggin Publisher: DC Comics August 01, 2004
This one is as good as the first volume. One thing that I really like about this volume is that more stories are centered on Green Arrow. If you like the first one, you like this one... more

| | 6. Essential Classic X-Men Volume 3 TPB (X-Men (Graphic Novels)) (v. 3) |
| By: Roy Thomas, Arnold Drake, Dennis O'Neil, Linda Fite, Gerry Conway, Steve Englehart, Archie Goodwin, Neal Adams, Don Heck, Werner Roth, Sal Buscema, Tom Sutton, Marie Severin, Bob Brown, Jim Starlin, Gil Kane, Herb Trimpe Publisher: Marvel Comics March 18, 2009
This volume of Classic X-Men in the Essential series wraps up the original run of the uncanny mutants, as well as filling in their guest appearances before they really took off with Giant-Size X-Men #1. After the mutant title was relegated to repeats, the highlight of the X-Men appearances is the Beast's run in Amazing Adventures. This is the story of when he turned colors and became fuzzy... more

| | 7. Batman: Tales of the Demon |
| By: Dennis O'Neil Publisher: DC Comics February 23, 1998
I ordered the book expecting that cover that is displayed in the description but I did not get what I was expecting but the rest of the book was spot on. The cover was cheap with a round logo on the right side.
This is the first mistake I ever received from them and most recently with my recent order I got the wrong volume because the listing was wrong however I will be weary to order... more

| | 9. Doc Savage: The Silver Pyramid |
| By: Dennis O'Neil Publisher: DC Comics January 19, 2010
I not only wish I could get my money back, I wish I could get the *time* back spent reading this dog. The previous reviewer was, in my opinion, far too kind in his discussion of the comic. Stay away. The Fabulous Five in this story have no individual personalities, Monk (a frequent fan favorite) looks far too much like John Lennon in the wire-rimmed glasses phase, Doc has a wife--and these... more

| | 10. Green Lantern: Hero's Quest (Justice League of America) |
| By: Dennis O'Neil Publisher: Pocket Star 2005-04
Having very little familiarity with the Green Lantern arcs, I was still familiar enough to feel that this story was a complete travesty. I spent most of the book trying to follow the convoluted storyline. I borrowed this and several other Justice League novels from a friend and, with the exception of this one, I rather enjoyed them. I did not enjoy this one at all and am very glad I did not spend... more
