| 1. Avengers Disassembled: Iron Man, Thor & Captain America |
| By: Michael Avon Oeming, Mark Ricketts, John Jackson Miller, Robert Kirkman, Christopher Priest, Andrea Divito, Tony Harris, Scott Kolins, Jorge Lucas, Scot Eaton, Joe Bennett Publisher: Marvel Comics April 15, 2009
This is great! I won't bother detailing the individual stories, see the reviews of the trades that were compiled into this book for that. I'll simply say that this jubo-sized book is wonderful. The Thor story alone justifies the large size. The final fall of Asgard gave me chills.
The artwork on Iron Man, and Cap is also top-of-the-genre, and benefit from the oversize treatment... more

| | 2. JLA (Book 4): Strength in Numbers |
| By: Grant Morrison, Mark Waid, Christopher Priest, Howard Porter Publisher: DC Comics December 01, 1998
So by this point, I'm pretty much into the groove of Grant Morrison's writing and I didn't really think he would surprise me with anything new or exciting, but with the first story in here he did it. We are introduced to a new villain, Prometheus, and he is just too cool. He's basically the anti-Batman, except he gains all his knowledge and abilities by downloading it into his helmet. But he sure... more

| | 3. Batman: Contagion |
| By: Alan Grant, Dennis O'Neil, Doug Moench, Christopher Priest January 11, 2008
Batman: Contagion is a crossover story arc in the Batman comics taking place after the Knightfall Saga and before No Man's Land. A plague has come to Gotham and Batman and his allies must race to find the cure.
The premise sounds interesting, but the execution itself is average at best. The story was spread out over 12 issues between every major Batman title and spin-off comic available... more

| | 4. Green Lantern: Sleepers, Volume 2 (Bk. 2) |
| By: Christopher J. Priest Publisher: IBooks, Inc. October 25, 2005
To me, these three books started it all within the novelizations of comics to, well novels. I was a little hesitant at first, because i really don't like kyle, but as the story progressed, i found myself sucked into these books and could not stop, if you read anything of green lantern(other then the johns story line in the comics) read these three books, you will not be disappointed. ... more

| By: Christopher Priest, Bart Sears Publisher: Marvel Comics October 01, 2004
This series was just not very good. The art is overboard, over-the-top trying to look cool and failing miserably. The plot was uninteresting... more

| | 8. Green Lantern: Sleepers (Book 1) |
| By: Christopher J. Priest Publisher: I Books April 12, 2005
This book was almost unreadable it was so fraught with misspellings, lack of punctuation, and typos galore.
At one point, it even refers to Dinah Lance (Black Canary) as Diane Lane.
I think all they did was run a spell checker on it. I've read some other books by this publisher and they all seem to have that problem... more

| | 10. Black Panther: Enemy Of The State TPB |
| By: Christopher Priest Publisher: Marvel Comics February 15, 2002
Good art, good basic plot, poor plot execution. The characters are too one-dimensional. This sequel to "The Client" suffers the same problems. What should have been interesting aspects of the plot, (SPOILER!!!!) such as: What are the consequences of BP's actions from operating on foriegn soil? What are the consequences in regards to Wakanda's current political turmoil? etc..., these... more
