| | 2. Essential Marvel Two-In-One Volume 3 TPB |
| By: Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Macchio, Marv Wolfman, Steven Grant, Tom DeFalco, David Michelinie, A. Brodsky, Alan Kupperberg, John Byrne, Joe Sinnott, George Perez, Gene Day, Chic Stone, Jerry Bingham, Ron Wilson, Pablo Marcos, Michael Netzer, Frank Springer, Jim Craig By: Alan Kupperberg Publisher: Marvel Comics August 12, 2009
A cursory glance at the cast that Ben Grimm is teamed with in this series might lead one to think that this is an incosequential run in an inconsequential series. For instance, he's teamed with fellow Fantastic Four members Mr. Fantastic and Human Torch, which is kind of a Brave and the Bold comic book teaming Batman with Robin. The majority of the rest have the Thing partnered with heroes so obscure... more

| | 4. Essential Marvel Two-In-One, Vol. 2 (Marvel Essentials) (v. 2) |
| By: Marv Wolfman, Roger Slifer, Tom DeFalco, David Anthony Kraft, Ralph Macchio, John Byrne, Peter Gillis, Alan Kupperberg, Bill Mantlo, Mary Jo Duffy, Steven Grant, Jim Starlin, Ron Wilson, John Buscema, Ernie Chan, Sal Buscema, Bob Hall, Chic Stone, Frank Miller By: Alan Kupperberg Publisher: Marvel Comics July 11, 2007
Much as the first volume of Marvel Two-In-One, these are fun stories to read, but you're not going to feel the need to read them over and over again. The Thing is an entertaining character, but his team-ups are hard to imagine at times. At least there are multi-issue storylines with this volume, but there are also some one-shot stinkers, such as battles with the Hulk and Moon Knight. The best issue... more

| | 6. T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents Archives, Vol. 6 (Archive Editions (Graphic Novels)) |
| By: Dan Adkins, Reed Crandall, Steve Ditko, Gil Kane, Chic Stone Publisher: DC Comics February 01, 2006
This brings an end to the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents' Archives series from DC.
Masterminded by the great Wally Wood in the 60s, the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents' series, with its heroes Dynamo, Noman and others were never quite a match for DC's Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern and others, nor Marvel's Fantastic Four, Spider-man and Avengers.
Nevertheless, for a young boy who found... more

| | 7. Fantastic Four Visionaries - George Perez, Vol. 2 |
| By: Len Wein, Roger Stern, George Perez, Marv Wolfman, Doug Moench, Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Macchio, Joe Sinnott, Chic Stone, John D'Agostino, Mike Esposito, Gene Day By: George Perez Publisher: Marvel Comics May 17, 2006
Marvel adds another misleading entry to their series of Visionaries trades with FANTASTIC FOUR VISIONARIES: GEORGE PEREZ VOLUME 2. Once again focusing solely on an artist, instead of a writer/artist, they trumpet the work of George Perez, apparently claiming that he, a fresh face at Marvel at the time, was a "visionary" who made these FF stories worthwhile... as if the writers had nothing to do with... more
