By: Brian Michael Bendis Publisher: Marvel Comics January 20, 2010
This is an amazing story arc that is extremely well-written and Bendis does not take any cheap shortcuts to resolve the storyline. It's as realistic an approach to superhero writing as you are likley to find in the medium... more

Man.. i read this every night after work. Anytime i had to sit to use the bathroom. and any time i had it with me and had a spare moment. This SERIES is a must read. I thought that this omnibus was excellent. Only gripe i have is that some texts get caught in the middle edge and your stretching the page to read it. no biggie though.
I love it. if you buy it, you will love it. ... more

| 3. Powers: The Definitive Collection, Vol. 2 |
|
By: Brian Michael Bendis Publisher: Marvel Comics February 18, 2009
The stories in this issue are stronger than the previous volume, which means that they are better then almost all of what is currently on the shelves. Problems with production values though are still present. They come in the form of art that at many spots looks scanned from inferior copies and also binding of pages that leaves some art/dialogue difficult to read. These problems are much less noticeable... more

By: Brian Michael Bendis Publisher: Marvel Comics March 24, 2010
Okay, whoever else that's plenty sick and tired of the Hood, raise your hand, please. I don't know why Brian Michael Bendis is fixated on two-bit hoodlum Parker Robbins and his rise to power, but I wish Bendis would cut it out already. The Hood has been plaguing the New Avengers for a while now, and Bendis has been all along trying to mold this nobody into this uber-villain, but I'm still not buying... more

|
By: Brian Michael Bendis, Dan Slott, Jason Aaron, Matt Fraction, Jonathan Hickman, Greg Pak, Rick Remender, Andy Diggle Publisher: Marvel Comics February 03, 2010
The List contains eight short stories about Normon Osborn, aka The Green Goblin, going after some of Marvel's most popular heroes who have crossed him in the past while currently being considered the world's hero and a media/political darling. This book is difficult to review because some of the stories are great while others were a complete waste of time. The Avengers story that features Clint Barton... more

|
By: Brian Michael Bendis Publisher: Marvel Comics February 24, 2010
Alias is about an ex-superhero, Jessica Jones, working as a private detective. The first story is interesting because someone essentially tricks Jessica into finding out Captain America's identity by having her investigate a woman who ends up being Captain America's girlfriend and who gets killed that night. Jessica is then in trouble with the police and the only way out is to out Captain America which... more
