By: Ed Brubaker, Andersen Gabrych, Devin Grayson, Dylan Horrocks, Bill Willingham Publisher: DC Comics March 01, 2005
If ever a Batman crossover was guilty of overextending into too many titles, War Games is it. It is an ironic paradox that the massive length of this storyline is both a strength and a weakness of it. On the positive side, it allows for an in depth presentation of events and characters, thus making them more realistic and relatable. It also convincingly illustrates the extent and duration of the utter... more

| 4. Robin/Batgirl: Fresh Blood |
|
By: Bill Willingham, Andersen Gabrych Publisher: DC Comics October 01, 2005
The art was ok and the writing was ok... however the plot was pathetic!!! It was one of the worst crafted books I have ever read. Batgirl and Robin fight to the "death" to get out of being trapped by the Penguin. |
By: Andersen Gabrych Publisher: DC Comics September 20, 2006
The obvious attraction to the Cassandra Cain Batgirl (other than her obviously attractive body) has been her amazing ability/style to fight and its origins. That being said, I combed the Batgirl comics looking for one that had substantial information or plot points pertaining to her father the deadliest assassin in the world David Cain and her mother, another world famous assassin, Lady Shiva. But... more

| 6. Batgirl: Kicking Assassins |
|
By: Andersen Gabrych Publisher: DC Comics January 01, 2006
I really like the new Batgirl. Cassandra Cain stands on her own as a completely different kind of hero than Barbara Gordon, so there is no sense in trying to compare the two. That being said, the new Batgirl KICKS ASS!! This story is a prime example of why I love Batman comics: lots of action, lots of story, and lots of deep character development. This stand alone story isn't without its flaws... more
