| 1. Witchblade Compendium, Vol. 1 (v. 1) |
| By: Marc Silvestri, Michael Turner, David Wohl, Brian Haberlin, Christina Z, Rick Veitch, Paul Jenkins, Tony Daniel, Randy Green, Brian Ching Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics June 15, 2008
I bought this compendium to read this series after I learned that Marc Silvestri, who worked on "The Darkness" comic series, also did this. I had bought the newest versions that were re-released, and I have to say that I am impressed by them. The new covers are now white, making them stand out on your shelf and making them look cooler than the last versions. I have to say, after reading it all, that... more

| | 2. Witchblade Volume 1: Witch Hunt (v. 1) |
| By: Ron Marz, Mike Choi Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics February 13, 2008
The story and art are really good, but my copy (ordered from the publisher not from Amazon) had poor binding -- the pages separated from the spine almost immediately -- so be sure to check your copy when you get it... more

| | 3. Witchblade Compendium Volume 2 (v. 2) |
| By: Ron Marz, Paul Jenkins, David Wohl, Geoff Johns, Chuck Austen, Mike Choi, Chris Bachalo, Francis Manapul, Brian Ching, and more! Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics May 06, 2009
I really want to like this book, seriously, but it was way to inconsistent, and way to simplistic for most of the 50 issues.
For one i do not buy a comic book just because it has skimpy outfitted women half naked, and sometimes way to overdrawn boobies. The first 30 issues were difficult to get through only because they were mostly terrible and so simple that only a kid that's easily entertained... more

| | 4. Witchblade Volume 6 (Witchblade (Image Comics)) |
| By: Ron Marz, Stjepan Sejic Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics July 08, 2009
WITCHBLADE Vol. 6 collects #116-120 of the series, only five issues, yeah, but this TPB is bolstered with 30+ pages consisting of a cover gallery, Stjepan Sejic's sketchbook, and Ron Marz's each page commentary for issue #116. This bunch of issues comes on the heels of the FIRST BORN arc and finds tough-as-nails NYPD homicide detective Sara Pezzini coming off her maternity leave, now balancing motherhood... more

I totally loved this book!
Dani Baptiste is my favorite bearer of the Witchblade. At first it was Sara, but I like the fact that Sara had to give it up to Dani, so she could take care of Hope. ... more

| By: Ron Marz, Stjepan Sejic, Luke Ross, Steve Sadowski, Rick Leonardi, Kevin Nowlan, Sami Basri Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics July 29, 2008
I'm not that terribly familiar anymore with WITCHBLADE or, come to think of it, a lot of the other Top Cow titles. Regarding WITCHBLADE's mythology, I know that the Witchblade itself is a tremendously powerful supernatural artifact wielded by NYPD homicide detective Sara Pezzini, and that this is a very dark comic book series.
In fact, the Witchblade is ridiculously ancient and sentient... more

| | 8. Witchblade Origins Volume 1: Genesis (v. 1) |
| By: David Wohl, Christina Z., Michael Turner Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics May 29, 2008
I've been waiting for years to collect Witchblade titles and was very excited to read these.
A few things bothered me though: first off, the binding is just ridiculous. I think my 2 year old nephew could glue a macaroni man on paper better than Top Cow's binder. This may not seem like a big deal but it really made the images more difficult to enjoy when I would try to open the page to... more

| | 10. Witchblade Volume 7: Blood Relations (v. 7) |
| By: David Wohl, Francis Manapul Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics August 26, 2003
This volume has more of a police story too it, and continues Sara's somewhat shabby treatment of her partner, Jake. A gang war between two different ethnic groups, and a dangerous assassin, and the not exactly a pussycat himself, Ian Nottingham. All these people running around the streets of New York, how is Sara going to stop it, and keep a handle on herself at the same time?
