| 1. Divinity II: Ego Draconis |
| From: CDV January 05, 2010
Features:- The ability to build your own ultimate fighting creature from body parts collected in battle. This creature's power is literally the sum of its body parts, and once created it will follow your commands Golem fashion.
- Sequel to an award-winning Divinity RPG series, that makes use of the same classless system that was incorporated in earlier games, which allows you to choose your own path as you become a Dragon Knight.
- For the first time, an RPG unlocks the power of the Dragon. Climb high and vaporize all that stands in your way as you strategically use both your human and dragon forms to defeat Damian and become the ultimate Dragon Knight.
- Divinity II provides a wide range of moral choices while questing. When you make these choices, the consequences of your actions appear throughout game play, and keep the action exciting and intertwined.
- Use of powerful Battle Towers, vast citadels accessible via the relic known as the Dragon Stone. The Dragon Stone allows you to teleport to the Battle Tower at any moment so that you can utilize the powers within.
I was a BIG fan of the original Divine Divinity particularly because of the character and item customization, open ended world, treasure hunting aspects, subtle (and not so subtle) humor and puzzles. It is all here and with a new 3D interface. Sure, as others have reviewed, the graphics are a tad bit outdated but I still find the world and environments to be very attractive and the voice acting and... more

The game is ok overall, I purchased it to play online with my brothers. It lacks effects, physics, and gameplay. It has many glitches and needed a lot of improvements and testing before release. The single player campaign is a bit boring and not as enjoyable as playing co-op but you and your friends must have the same conection type and speed otherwise the lesser conection will get stuck often and... more

Decided to order this because Amazon had it listed on sale. An hour later I found out that this was the new regular price. I went to cancel so I could just pick it up at Gamestop and have it quicker, however when I logged it it said I could not cancel. That was fine, I figured I will get it in 2-3 days. It took amazon 8 days to finally ship it out and I didn't receive it for... more

I bought it because on some reviews I read it was compared to Diablo which is a favorite. In fact, in no way it can be compared to Diablo. One of the reasons being you don't have to kill real animals on Diablo. The first enemy I had to slaughter on Sacred was a wolf. That was NOT nice. So 1 for the game. But if you don't care about it, then overall it'd be a 3, as I didn't enjoy the characters... more

If you liked the original, this is more of the same. I was going to wait until the draconian DRM was patched out, but since Ascaron Entertainment had to file for bankruptcy I figure they got what was coming to them, and while the DRM is still present, the game being significantly cheaper than release. It is also an nVidia game, so those of us with ATI cards are SOL when it comes to all the PhysX effects... more

- Fight effectively from the back of a number of mounts under your control
- The ultimate multiplayer experience - seamless transition between single and multiplayer gaming modes via the Internet or Xbox Live

Limited to 2 installs. It is part of a trend in the industry to kill after market resale. How can I buy this from Amazon as "USED" when a 2 limit install means I will only get a game that won't install for me. For those of us who like conspiracy theories, we can only assume that install limits are an attempt by game producers to kill the resale potential of their games in the hopes to force additional... more

Good play control and graphics. The flight simulator physics are a bit unreal to add better control of your plane. I bought Combat Wings: Battle of the Pacific at the same time and overall prefer this Pearl Harbor game out of the two... more

| | 8. Divine Divinity |
| From: CDV January 21, 2004
As mentioned in a number of existing reviews, Divine Divinity does a good job of competing with Diablo II. Both have excellent gameplay, but while Divine Divinity has clearer plot exposition, Diablo II has multiplayer. In my quest to get people to play this game, they've often been turned off at my 'no' to their queries as to if they could play online. It's a real pity, because the atmosphere is excellent... more

| | 9. American Civil War |
| From: CDV January 28, 2008
Features:- Fight to reconcile the nation (USA) or ensure independence (CSA). Win militarily or politically, as national will play a crucial role.
- Play a scenario over a few hours or a full Grand Campaign following in Grant's or Lee's footsteps across massive operations or the entire war!
- Two playable sides, dozens of different troops, hundreds of events, over 300 historical leaders with unique abilities.
- Hundreds of events during the course of scenarios and campaigns to provide challenge and an element of surprise.
- Organize divisions, armies and corps, manage supply and morale, use sea, river and rail moves, and put the best leaders in command (if politics allow)!
I can see how many don't like this game. It isn't as easy as it looks. You have to be aware of supply and manufacturing as well as politics in order to play at anything higher than "EASY". I've been looking for a game like this ever since Avalon Hill attempted to put their Victory Games Civil War game on PC. That was back in the late 80s and the result was awful. ... more
