| 3. The Flash: Wonderland |
|
By: Geoff Johns Publisher: DC Comics October 03, 2007
This is a solid story and great interaction between Flash and Captain Cold. However, I was expecting something along the caliber of John's more recent work on JSA, Green Lantern, and Action Comics. This is not on the same par. Perhaps his Flash work evolved to come close to his current masterpieces, but not here. I think I'll just wait until Flash: Rebirth to see what else Geoff can bring to the hero... more

| 4. The Flash: The Return of Barry Allen |
|
By: Mark Waid Publisher: DC Comics July 01, 1996
The Flash: The Return of Barry Allen is well written and well drawn. Anyone who enjoys the Flash and has not read Flash 74 thru 79 will get the complete story in this graphic novel.
Or will they?
It seems there is a crossover to Green Lantern 40. Would it have hurt to include that story in this book? Nothing I love more than buying one comic to complete a graphic novel. If... more

| 5. The Flash Archives, Vol. 1 (DC Archive Editions) |
|
By: Robert Kanigher, John Broome Publisher: DC Comics May 04, 1998
If you are a Silver Age comics fan this one's for you! I caught on to The Flash when I was maybe in junior high school and about seven or eight years into the original Carmine Infantino, John Broome, Robert Kanigher, Frank Giacola, Joe Giella, Joe Kubert et al. run. The Flash was updated from the older Golden Age Flash - the guy with the blue pants, red shirt, and sporting a helmet that looked... more

| 6. The Flash, Vol. 7: Rogue War |
|
By: Geoff Johns Publisher: DC Comics January 04, 2006
Like Mark Waid before him, Geoff Johns managed to breathe new life into the Flash during his long run on the series, particularly his re-vamping of the scarlet speedster's rogues gallery. Rogue War culminates Johns' monumental run on the series, bringing the long brewing war between the reformed villains and the Rogues to a head, with the Flash and Keystone City smack in the middle. Rogue War starts... more

| 7. The Flash Vol. 6: The Secret of Barry Allen |
|
By: Geoff Johns Publisher: DC Comics August 01, 2005
This graphic novel is fantastic. It realy opens up the world of Wally West. After the loss of his two children, thanks to Zoom, Linda leaves him and it drives him crazy. This is a must have for all Flash fans. It also ties in with Identity Crisis which is pretty cool. Trust me, if you love Wally West as The Flash, just pick this one up. I also reccomend, "Rouge War" and "Blitz" Here's the best way... more

| 8. The Flash: Emergency Stop |
|
By: Mark Millar, Grant Morrison Publisher: DC Comics January 27, 2009
Flash Emergency Stop is a wonderful collection of some excellent Flash stories that came out of an interesting period in the Flash's publishing history. Starting with the issues published in this volume, comic-book-genius Grant Morrison joined with soon to become comic-book-writer/cum promoter-extraordinaire, Mark Millar respectively, and took over the writing reins of Flash, from Mark Waid, to produce... more

this was a good story following the infinite crisis stuff. flowed well, and gave you some of the answers as to what happened to bart and wally, and barry, ect... not all the answers are told(but why would they, there is still alot of story to tell.) but it gives you well more than enough to make this a good read. hopefully the next ones will try and bring wally back. 4 stars out of 5 only beacuse i... more

| 10. The Flash Chronicles, Vol. 1 |
|
By: Various Publisher: DC Comics September 29, 2009
Showcase #4 was published in 1956. This is the comic that most fans and historians agree ushered in what we call the "Silver Age of Comics." The successful redesign of The Flash brought us new versions of many DC characters, and would go on to influence Marvel's silver age boom of creation, bringing about Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, etc.
Flash Chronicles vol. 1 is the... more
