| By: John Ostrander, Omar Francia, Jan Duursema, Dan Parsons Publisher: Dark Horse
John Ostrander's work in Grimjack, the Suicide Squad and the Spectre established his still with morally compromised heroes. He shows off this skill in his highly-successful Star Wars Legacy books. | | 5. Broken (Star Wars: Legacy, Vol. 1) (v. 1) |
| By: John Ostrander Publisher: Dark Horse May 16, 2007
I will admit it, when I first heard about this comic I was very skeptical. Then again I am skeptical of most expanded universe items. But I was on vacation recently and decided to give volume 1 a go. In general I was pleasantly surprised about what I read.
Yes the plot does seem at least partially recycled from the first three movies. Universe taken over by the Sith again, Jedi almost... more

| | 6. Shards (Star Wars: Legacy, Vol. 2) |
| By: John Ostrander Publisher: Dark Horse April 02, 2008
You know what. I enjoy star wars as much as the next average comic nerd but this and Vol. 1 of the Legacy series are amazingly cool. Just being able to jump 125 years to a future Skywalker was pretty cool and especially because it was written with quite a few twists and turns. Diggin it!... more

| | 7. Claws of the Dragon (Star Wars: Legacy, Vol. 3) |
| By: John Ostrander Publisher: Dark Horse June 18, 2008
I'll admit it. I wasn't a huge fan of Legacy #1. Cade Skywalker was, well, underwhelming, but for whatever reason, I recently bought Legacy #2. After reading #2, I went out and snatched up #3 and #4. I found #3 was exciting and, truth be told, I fancy myself a guy who can sort of see a twist coming... but the first twist sent me reeling. (I won't ruin it for you.) The second twist, on the very last... more

| | 8. Alliance (Star Wars: Legacy, Vol. 4) |
| By: John Ostrander, Omar Francia, Alan Robinson, Brad Anderson Publisher: Dark Horse December 24, 2008
Excellent story line and fantastic art. Really captures the original excitement of the Star Wars legacy. This whole series will keep you entertained and the artwork is done by a host of artists, but all under the direction of Jan Duursema, who also did Darth Maul. Greatly detailed and captures all the action with many twist and turns. This is a good buy.

| | 9. Star Wars: Vector Volume 1 |
| By: John Jackson Miller, Mick Harrison, Scott Hepburn, Doug Wheatley, Dave Ross, Various Publisher: Dark Horse January 31, 2009
I would really like to give this 3 1/2 stars because I did like it, but there are a few issues. Even though I haven't read much of KOTOR and none of Dark Times, I followed what was happening just fine. I actually liked the idea of a story that crosses all the SW timelines and I think they pulled it off pretty well. I didn't like the graphic style of the first chapter, which is the Knights of the... more
