| 1. A History of Violence |
| By: John Wagner, Vince Locke Publisher: Vertigo December 01, 2004
I am a huge Cronenberg fan, and the actors he chose for the film were all 'dead on', excellent actors. BUT, I was hugely disappointed to change the final act of the book, and virtually remove the impact, the horror and the great original ending of the book. The graphic novel is an amazing read, I highly recommend it, and the film is still a good watch, but somewhat disappointed one for... more

| | 5. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens: Incubus |
| By: John Wagner, Andy Diggle, Henry Flint Publisher: Dark Horse December 03, 2003
As a long-time fan of the Alien Versus lines, I was rather intrigued to see that the Aliens have branched out of their normal battles with DC superheroes and have made the jump to 2000AD's famous Judge Dredd. Having read the entertaining but mediocre Predator vs. Judge Dredd last year, I had minimal expectations for this comic, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
Perhaps the most noteworthy... more

| | 6. Excalibur Classic Volume 5 TPB (v. 5) |
| By: Seth Kruchkow, John Higgins, Dana Moreshead, Scott Lobdell, Chris Claremont, Chris Wozniak, Dave Ross, Ron Wagner Publisher: Marvel Comics June 25, 2008
There are some good aspects to this volume, but overall it is not as good as the previous collections of Excalibur. Chris Claremont only wrote 3 of these stories, and Alan Davis was not involved in any of the artwork. The selling point for this TPB is the hard to find graphic novel "Weird War III."
I give this a 3.5 and recommend if you are just starting to look at Excalibur, you will... more

| | 7. Star Wars 30th Anniversary Collection, Volume 9: Boba Fett: Death, Lies, and Treachery |
| By: John Wagner Publisher: Dark Horse Comics 2007
This is one long story about Boba Fett. Being a huge boba fett fan i found this story to be fairly boring and only moderative creative. I'm happy with my purchase as a mild collector but if you are getting it for reading material it is a marginal storyline at best. ... more

| By: Thomas Andrews, Ron Marz, John Ostrander, John Wagner, Cam Kennedy, Adriana Melo, Francisco Ruis Velasco, Tsuneo Sanda Publisher: Dark Horse April 11, 2007
The bounty hunts of the famous Mandalorian continue! In this anthology of sorts, four stories are combined to show Fett's hunts in different eras.
"Sacrifice": Fett is sent to retrieve rebel, Yolan Bren on Solem for the Imperial Governor. But Governor Malvander finds out what happens to those who try to underpay Fett. There is some pretty nice art (not the best in the world, of... more
