|
By: Seth L. Schein Publisher: University of California Press November 22, 1985
I read the Iliad and thought that this book would be useful but it was not extremely useful and the book didn't come during the time it was supposed to come. The book was brand new and in perfect condition, which it should have been anyways... more

| 5. Selections from Homer's Iliad |
|
By: Allen Rogers Benner Publisher: Borgo Press November 05, 2007
Allan Rogers Benner provides us with a wonderfully complete book that would allow anyone with at least a moderate knowledge of Attic Greek to explore the world of Homer in the original (as of 300-or-so BC) text. The text is set up in such a way so as for a beginner in the Homeric language to work their way through without much trouble: the book starts with an enlightening commentary on the state... more

| 6. Homer: Iliad I-XII (Bks.1-12) |
|
By: Homer Publisher: Duckworth Publishing July 01, 1996

The author tells an amazing biography of Homer. Actually, he tells us many biographies... more

| 9. Homer - The Iliad and The Odyssey |
|
By: Homer Publisher: El Paso Norte Press January 01, 2006
It has been years since I had a chance to get reacquainted with one of the classic writers, Homer. I've been able to do just that with this book. Mr. Ford has provided me a copy of both the Illiad and Odyssey, in one paperback. I consider this larger paperback an easier format that allows me to concentrate on the story at hand.
I don't often recommend books to my wife (an assistant... more
