| 1. Justice League of America by George Perez, Vol. 1 (DC Comics Classic Library) |
|
By: Gerry Conway Publisher: DC Comics September 08, 2009
Believe the reviews you've read here. This is not a volume worth purchasing. It's incredibly overpriced and I think, pretty unfair to fans. When I initially purchased the volume, I was under the impression that all of Perez's issues would be included in this apparently expensive volume. After purchasing it, I realized barely six issues are collected here, and a new similarly overpriced volume is due... more

| 3. George Perez: Storyteller |
|
By: Chris Lawrence, George Perez, Kurt Busiek Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment November 15, 2006
I found George Perez: Storyteller to be an interesting exploration of Perez's career. It was great to see the early art and to read about the struggles he has faced in his career.
I wish that they had put in more of the original art from the first go at Avengers/JLA and from the actual JLA/Avengers comic. It would have also been good to have either the author or a contributor dissect... more

| 5. Fantastic Four Visionaries - George Perez, Vol. 1 |
|
By: Roy Thomas, George Perez Publisher: Marvel Comics June 22, 2005
I am scratching my head over this book. There is really nothing visionary about George Perez's work here. Perez really had not developed his distinctive style yet. It is cool to read these 70's FF stories but I would prefer to read all the issues in chronological order without missing an issue or two. Also, the only covers that are included are for issues 184-186. To me it was sort of like reading... more

| 6. Avengers Visionaries: George Perez (Avengers Series) |
|
By: Jim Shooter, David Michellnie, Kurt Busiek Publisher: Marvel Entertainment Group 1999-05
I'd purchased Avengers Visionaries: George Perez largely because it reprinted many of issues that came out when I was heavily into comic collecting years and years ago. I'd also recently purchased Avengers: Ultron Unlimited, and had gotten a bit of a taste for George Perez's outstanding artwork.
This title reprints a number of classic old Avengers tales, featuring the Living Laser (and... more

By: Eric Nolen-Weathington, George Perez Publisher: TwoMorrows Publishing September 03, 2003
Whether you like his art style or not, George Perez has had a truly phenomenal career- it's really great to read about(!).
I especially like the behind-the-scenes info on the various situations & projects he's been involved with over the years. Things like which inkers he felt complimented his work, how he feels about his own work looking back on it, and the unique relationships... more

By: George Perez, Len Wein, Greg Potter Publisher: DC Comics March 01, 2004
The thrilling modern age retelling of the world's first and arguably still greatest superheroine, Wonder Woman, born Princess Diana to Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons on Paradise Island, chosen to go to "Man's World" to stop the mad war god Ares from destroying the world.
Dated though it may be, George Perez's writing in collaboration with Len Wein, Greg Potter and Bruce Patterson helped... more

| 9. Avengers: The Serpent Crown |
|
By: Steve Englehart, George Perez Publisher: Marvel Comics September 21, 2005
The Serpent Crown is a device than an alien has used to control The Squadron Supreme on their world, and they need help from The Avengers to undo the damage.
This produces a great team up and cross world story, and as an added bonus, we have the appearance of the Hellcat, a definite favorite.

| 10. Brave & The Bold Vol. 1: Lords Of Luck |
|
By: Mark Waid Publisher: DC Comics December 16, 2008
Relaunch of a popular comics series that teams up various DC characters, usually with Batman. Initially, Batman and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) team up to find an artifact connected to the Book of Destiny. Eventually Batman finds himself in the 31st century, being aided somewhat by the Legion of Superheroes and Green Lantern, in the funniest part of the storyline, teams up with Supergirl. Actually... more
