This was so much fun! I just got it in the mail today and have enjoyed everything about it. Not only are the comics here but short essays by Stan Lee about the FF and Jack Kirby. Add the original letters that fans wrote in and you have something that is truly special for any fan of the Fantastic Four or Marvel comics in general. Do yourself a favor and pick this up to share with freinds or... more

| 2. Fantastic Four: World's Greatest, Vol. 1 |
|
By: Mark Millar Publisher: Marvel Comics January 28, 2009
This is what a professional comic should look like. The trend in Marvel nowadays seems to be towards photo-realistic images with big storylines. I think that generally, this works for titles like the Fantastic Four.
However, the actual plot and dialogue is a bit of a snowjob. Earth is doomed -thus Reed Richard's ex-girlfriend calls on him to get involved in the Nu-World project. There... more

The Fantastic Four launched the modern Marvel Universe in 1961, under the aegis of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and the following ten-year run defined much of the Marvel Universe. The Four seen now to be a perennial B-franchise in comics; even the run by Mark Millar and... more

| 5. Fantastic Four: The Masters of Doom |
|
By: Mark Millar Publisher: Marvel Comics January 20, 2010
What the $@*% happened? Was it deadlines? A growing lack of interest? Millar painting himself into a corner? Was it Joe Quesada? It's Joe Quesada, isn't it? Whatever it is, what started as an awesome Fantastic Four run by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch ends up fizzling. FANTASTIC FOUR: THE MASTER OF DOOM collects issues #562-569, and the thing of it is that, even in this collection, there's a sense of... more

|
By: Jonathan Hickman Publisher: Marvel Comics November 04, 2009
Ignore the product description for Dark Reign Fantastic Four. HAMMER does not invade the Baxter Building. Norman and a few agents drop by to issue Reed a summons stating they either have to work for him or be charged as criminals. Franklin and Val run interference with Osborn while Reed tests his newest device called "The Bridge". I'll leave it to you to read and find out what this device does. So... more
