But what they don't tell you in the reviews is that this Elektra graphic novel comes with three other comic book stories that involve Elektra. Two out of the three short stories don't really matter, but the third comic book that is included is 'Elektra Lives Again' by Frank Miller. If I hadn't read this edition of 'Elektra:Assasin' I would of bought 'Elektra... more

By: Zeb Wells Publisher: Marvel Comics December 23, 2009
In an attept to start over after the civil war,a skrull invasion happened and things were reset in the marvel universe as a result. Dark reign is the eraser were every one is lining themselves up to create a decent story while bringing back old and dead charecters. In this case we have Elektra (my favorite charecter in the Marvel U) brought back and to make her story some what intresting she was the... more

| 3. Elektra Volume 1: Introspect TPB (Elektra (Graphic Novels)) |
|
By: Greg Rucka Publisher: Marvel Comics December 01, 2002
This is a little bit of a departure for the character, as I suspect will be for the rest of the series. And to be quite honest, I'm not sure if she is the right character under the supposed description. Elektra kills, yes, but with good reason. According to Locke and the other characters that surround her, she kills relentlessly even if the person is not the intended target. That's not the Elektra... more

|
By: Marvel Comics Publisher: Marvel Comics January 01, 2004
I got this book after reading Elektra the Hand as well as Elektra Scorpio Key. I was shocked to find that this comic was nothing like either. Sure, it contained the sai wielding assassin, but besides the common main character there was little resemblence. But i would have to say i was pleasently suprised and enjoyed every page of this. Its an interesting idea for a comic, one that works perfectly... more

| 9. Elektra: The Scorpio Key (Daredevil) |
|
By: Brian Michael Bendis Publisher: Marvel Comics March 01, 2002
But the art is too horrific to be able to tell. Seriously, this is THE SINGLE WORST EXAMPLE OF ART I've ever seen come out of the Big 2.
I'm not even an art buff. I don't know who draws anything. But I now know the name Chuck Austen because the art is SO BAD that even Bendis cannot save the book.
Yeesh!!... more

By: Greg Rucka Publisher: Marvel Comics May 10, 2002
A little bit of a surprise coming across this, as it is actually a heavily illustrated - or painted if you like - novella, or something around that sort of length, anyway.
Rucka is an accomplished novelist, so not too much of a problem for him to do something like this, so a sensible choice.
Can't say I like the art style much though - it makes everyone look Japanese, whether... more
